Lessons

I made this layout using the sketch above from Scrap Our Stash. I used BoBunny 12" Family Recipes Savory paper as the main patterned paper, Colorbok Mixed Media Designer Paper, Recollections My Story Paper Pad, DCWV just My Type Premium Stack, and another pad I lost the cover for as the other papers. The stickers/bling is from Carta Bella Summer Adhesive Brads. The alphabet stickers- Snicker doodles and the title There Are No Regrets In Life Just Lessons are from Reminisce Quote Book Die Cut stickers. The journaling and the buttons strip is on from the paper pad I lost the cover to. I made Snicker doodle Cookies from a box mix for a family gathering and we would have to boil water while I was making them. (Bacteria was found in the lines and somehow the city flushed it out.) Luckily, we were only under Boil Advisory for about 12 hours- overnight. That's why I included a picture of the sinks full of water. I ran to the bathroom to wash my hands off I don't know how many times. It was funny! I had fun doing this layout. Have a Merry Christmas! I may blog again before then. Please leave me comments about this layout. TFL! Have a great weekend! I would have posted the recipe for the cookies, but it was mostly a box mix.

Warm Wishes

I made this to send out for Christmas this year and as an entry in Coffee Loving Cardmakers Blog Hop. I used  Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps Cocoa's Cups stamp set stamped with  My Favorite Things Extreme Black Hybrid ink and colored in the image with various Spectrum Noir TriBlend and Duo Color markers. I stamped the sentiments with Gina K Designs Amalgam Jet Black ink. The inside sentiment is from Stampin' Up Cookie Cutter Christmas stamp set. All the cardstock is from  The Stamps Of Life Hope & Joy Collection. The twine is from Trendy Twine Candy Cane. I used Nuvo Morning Dew Crystal Drops to accent a few snowflakes. Thanks for looking and have a Happy Thanksgiving. The blog hop ends at midnight Pacific time.

Jingle All the Way

Happy First day of Fall! I know a Christmas card, right? Lol. This A1 Swish Card die set was in the September Jingle All the Way Card kit from The Stamps of Life. All the products used are from the kit except the adhesive sheet used on the Jingle All the Way die, but it's still a TSOL product. The twine is Candy Cane from  Annie's Paper Boutique or Trendy Twine. TFL and by the way, please let me know if you like my new background.

Plant Smiles

I made this card using the sketch above from Fusion Card Challenge Front Porch. I fused the picture with the sketch or drew from the colors in the picture and followed the sketch. I'm also sending this card as a Use Your Scraps swap. The stamp set I used is Close To My Heart D1306 Treasure Life and is most likely no longer for sale as I believe it is an old stamp set. I used My Favorite Things Extremely Black Ink, Close To My Heart Blue Belle Ink, Tim Holtz Twisted Citron Distress Ink, Stampin' Up Highland Heather Ink, and Archival Jet Black Ink on all the stamps. The white, blue, green, and card base are all from The Stamps of Life and all but the card base is scraps. I cut the gray strip and the sentiment mat out of my scraps pile and not sure what manufacturer it's from. The sequins are 2 sets- Fancy Pants and Sweet Water from Spiegel Mom Scraps and I glued them down with Tombow Aqua Mono Liquid Glue. I used AdTech Crafter's Tape Glue Runner and my Xyron 1.5" Create A Sticker Maker to adhere everything else. I wanted to color in the flowers and then realized there wasn't anything to color. TFL and Happy Friday!

Dream Big

I made this layout following the sketch from Stick It Down for September Single Page Sketch challenge. The 2 patterned papers are from Heidi Swapp Sun Chaser Collection kit. The main page is the opposite side of Sweet Thing and the bigger side of the layout is Sunburst. I just flipped the sketch. The stickers are from a recent great outdoors tag swap with a group I'm with on Facebook. The pictures were taken downtown New Bern, where I live, by DoubleTree Hotel. I included a picture of the bottom of the totem to show that is made as a memorial for a woman who died in 2007. I personally don't know the woman, but thought the flowers around the Extraterrestrial Totem are very pretty. The sequins are from The Stamps of Life Hibiscus Blooms and I glued them down with Tombow Aqua Mono Liquid Glue. The title- Dream Big is from Reminsce Quote Book Die Cut Stickers. The photo mat is also cardstock from Stamps of Life. Have a great weekend and TFL!

What's on my Desk

I made this card for a swap. The swap is called Card with Stickers. I know the butterflies don't look like stickers, but when you run them through Xyron Create A Sticker like I did you have stickers! All of the butterflies even the vellum butterfly and big butterfly in the middle and the 2 squares of PP where sent to me for a layout challenge from Margaret Workman. I just used them on a card. I wanted to try something different! The sentiment- hello- is from The Stamps of Life wreath2stamp. The washi tape is from my stash. The bling is from LacePlaceByHolley. I stamped the sentiment with Ranger Archival Ink and glued the blue butterfly onto the vellum butterfly with Tombow Clear Mono Liquid Glue and also used it on the bling. The paper is also from The Stamps of  Life. I mailed this out yesterday so it would be mailed on time. TFL!

Away We Go

I made this layout following  Sketches In Thyme Sketch #528. The paper is Make A Wish from Simple Stories Say Cheese 4 12x12 Collection Kit and so is the title, Away We Go. The music notes border sticker is from Echo Park Paper Company Magical Adventure Element Stickers. I couldn't find a broom sticker so I used a party whistle from Photo Play Paper Company Cake for the broom. The journaling sticker is from Heidi Swapp Sun Chaser 12x12 Paper Collection. I wrote Silas & Zach are riding the broom around the room. Campers chanted for Silas to Ride the Broom and Zach joined him for more humor! Smartnick Cafeteria Roanoke Christian Camp 2nd Intermediate Week. The chant was Ride the Broom Around the Room Silas Ride the Broom Around the Room Silas We won't shut up until you get up Ride the Broom Around the Room Silas. It was loud and annoying at times, but this time wasn't.

Sending You Snail Mail

I made this card following the above sketch from Freshly Made Sketches. I decided to make my card horizontally instead of vertically like the sketch shows. The card base is Ginger Snap from The Stamps of Life as well as the snail- snails2stamp/die and the sentiment is from the same stamp set. I stamped the sentiment with Ranger Archival jet black ink and the snail with My Favorite Things Extremely Black  acid free ink. I colored in the snail with Spectrum Noir duo blend markers and accented it The Stamps of Life Cantaloupe and Mint Chip 3D ink. The pink/red paper is from The Stamps of Life Happy Hello Collection and the green strips is from one sheet of Stampin' Up 6x6 designer series paper. I just flipped the middle piece. The epoxy dots at the top are also from The Stamps of Life. I'm going to mail this card to one of my girls from camp. Have a great week! TFL!

Hang In There

I stuck to the sketch as close as I could. I used Pretty Little Studio Wildflowers Collection. I didn’t want to make the background too busy since the picture is kind of dark. I took it with no flash, but the sun was bright that afternoon. I decided to use a picture from camp. I’m glad I still have the original picture on my phone to zoom in to see who is actually in the photo! Lol. Crizma, pronounced like Charisma, is the one in pink. I need to get back to writing the girls next week. I have written 3 of them and need to write the other 3. I had 6 girls in my room. I wish I would have gotten to know the boys more, but they all stayed to themselves. The girls didn’t like boys and vice versa. Lol. I fussy cut the heart out of one of the papers in this collection and the border as well. The title and puffy sticker isn’t from the collection. The puffy sticker is from The Stamps of Life Hang in There collection. The title is from Reminsce Quote Book Kit. The sun flair button is from Pretty Little Studio. This collection doesn’t have embellishments with it so I improvised! The paper I used for the journaling is actually the back of the purple- Lilac Blooms and the main paper is called Honeycomb. I wrote From Left to Right: Macie, Mallory, Trinity, Lukas, & Crizma hanging on the monkey bars for part of a Photo Hunt during 2nd Intermediate Week at Roanoke Christian Camp. The photo hunt was like a scavenger hunt, but you take pictures instead of finding items. The strip at the bottom, where I stamped the date with a Amy Tangerine rotary stamp with Gina K Amalgam black ink, is also from Pretty Little Studio. I will be scrapping more today and add some more recent projects later so please come back. TFL and have a great day!

I'm Here For You

I made this card for a friend who just had a son die Wednesday at 17 of cardiac arrest due to asthma and went into a coma. He passed out at a friend's house Saturday morning and never woke up. A police officer came to my friend's house to let her know her son was in the hospital Saturday morning. He was given CPR and had brain damage from it. His organs began shutting down Monday and Tuesday they gave him a blood transfusion to help his organs so they could be donated. The plug was pulled at 10:37am Wednesday morning. He just turned 17 on July 6, a week before he died. I didn't mean to start this post out so morbid, but I wanted to share the reason I made this card. The stamp set- image and sentiments- are from There For Her from Unity Stamp Company. I stamped the image and sentiments with Ranger Archival black ink, actually the sentiments are on one stamp I just cut the main sentiment off the inside sentiment after I stamped it. I colored in the image and sentiments with ColorIn Watercolor Twist colored pencils and I used a Gelly Roll Star gel pen on the girl in the dress on the far right. The patterned paper is from  Pretty Little Studio Wildflowers Honeycomb 12x12 paper that I trimmed down to fit on the front of the card. I found out about Pretty Little Studio from Jeanne . The bling and the card base is from The Stamps of Life. I tried to give a sunset effect with the background around the image. Sherry has had to be strong for her parents before they died and now for her children and grandkids still living. I can't imagine sending my child if I had one which I don't to a friend's house and not ever interacting with him again. Hug your loved ones daily and keep them close, because this proves you never know when this could happen. Have a great weekend! TFL!

It's Good To See You

I followed this sketch to create this 2 page layout. The main patterned paper and the journaling blocking is from Simple Stories Say Cheese 4 12x12 Paper Pad. The black strips is from a12x12 pad in my stash. The banner stickers on the sides and the middle are from Echo Park Paper Company Magical Adventure Element Stickers. The title block- It's Good to See You- isn't the giraffe cute, lol, is from Reminisce Quote Book Kit. The sequins in the bottom corners are Smoothie Mix from SpiegelMomScraps.  I typed the journaling on my computer- Emily, Mama, and Anna Beth help BG open his gifts. The water table, sand, flash light, and Paw Patrol bag was from me, Mama, and Mr. Ray. Carolina Hurricanes hat from Dustin. TFL and have a great weekend!

Best Day Ever

I made this layout late last night. I did cut the strip off after I took the picture. I made it in a hurry to get it in a scrapbook group I’m in before midnight for a Rainbow Pride Month entry for June. I had to use either rainbow on the paper or in the pictures so I did both and included rainbow twine on the tag. Lol! The title, cloud, and the Smile tag are die cuts from Bella Blvd Squeeze the Day Collection. The journaling tag is from the same set as the background paper- Heidi Swapp Sun Chaser. I wrote on the tag: Dinosaur Egg Hunt at BG’s Birthday Party 5-21-22. Emily, his mom, (my sister) was showing him the price eggs- all included huge dinosaurs. He & Anna Beth were having fun after the hop was over.
I ran out of room on the tag, but it had just stopped raining is why BG’s hair was wet. They had the hunt in the rain and since there was only 3 kids at the party they had help hunting and found most of them. BG found a few in his play area a few days later. TFL and have a great weekend!

Make Today Count and Toucan

I made this layout for a Selfie Layout in Scrappin' 'n' Chattin', a scrapbook group I'm a part of anyone is welcome to join if you scrap or make cards. Back to my layout. The patterned paper is ModaScrap Fly & Scrap 03. The photo mat is from Stampin' Up Daffodil Afternoon 12x12 Designer Series Paper. They're having a free shipping sale on last chance items today only. The picture was taken with my iPhone. The title, Make Today Count, is from Heidi Swapp Journal Studio died cut shapes and so is the journaling tag. I wrote Selfie Sunday! I was getting used to my new smile and decided to take a quick selfie 5/1/22. The heart in the photo frame is from Amy Tangerine bits die cut chipboard shapes. The crystal bling and twine is from The Stamps of Life. This is a great family owned business and if you join use me as a referral and we both receive club points! The hearts are from OhDeerMeKit. Now onto my easel card.
I made this card for a swap, but I don't think she follows me. I found the tutorial for the easel swap on Pinterest and https://youtu.be/yAsPQDwH87A. All of the products used- Watermelon cardstock, toucan2stamp/dies, tropical2stamp/dies, enamel dots, the felt border
paper- Sweet Moments Collection and powdered sugar, and Tropical Leaf stencil- are from The Stamps of Life. I used Ranger Archival Jet Black ink on all the images/sentiments and Ranger Tim Holtz Distress Ink Twisted Citron on the stencil. TFL and Happy 1st day of Summer for those in the Northern Hemisphere!

Happy Camper

I made this card yesterday for a C is for Card swap for a group I'm in on Facebook. The stamp set is from The Stamps Of Life camper2stamp set and dies to match. I colored in the camper, flamingo, and camp fire with Spectrum Noir triblend markers. The reason the challenge is called C is for is because the image/sentiment have to start with C. The patterned paper is from Michaels Sparkleberry Ink double-sided paper pad. I believe the card base is from Stampin'Up In Color 8 1/2 x 11 paper collection and the enamel dots are also from The Stamps of Life. This card took forever to make, because I stopped to do laundry, talked on the phone, and couldn't decide on paper. I know my swap partner in the UK will love this card! TFL and have a great day!

Recent Layouts of BG

I made this layout following the above sketch. I just turned the sketch horizontally since my photo collage is vertical and kinda big. The main background paper is from Bella Blvd Squeeze the Day Collection as is the strawberry 3D stickers, the love you bunches ephemera, and you are sweet tab. I just realized I didn't pick up the flower at the bottom before taking the picture. It's not glued down, lol. That's what I get for watching a movie while scrapping, lol. The strips are from several 8 1/2x11oz paper sheets from my stash as is the photo mat. The diagonal striped strip is from Echo Park Paper Company Once Upon A Time Prince Collection Kit. The title, BG, is from Basic Grey Oliver Collection Alphabet Stickers sheet that is also from my stash, an old set that is hard to find in stores. Now on to the next layout.
This layout is of BG's 4th Birthday party, well mostly balloons. The theme was dinosaurs. The main patterned paper is from Echo Park Paper Company Magical Adventure 12x12 Collection Kit. I used some of the same paper for the photo mats. The title and balloon dog is from Pebbles Birthday Wishes Printed Cardstock Shapes that I received as a RAK in the mail yesterday. The journaling tag at the bottom is also from Bella Blvd Squeeze the Day Collection. I wrote MeMaw (in picture above tag) and Great Grandma Elaine is in the picture with BG at the bottom right. I will be making more birthday layouts soon so come back to see the rest of the party layouts! Have a great Flag Day if you're in the US! TFL!

Freshly Made Sketches 534

I made this card following the sketch above from Freshly Made Sketches. The cardbase is from The Stamps of Life, the stamp set is ...hugs, kisses, & birthday wishes July Unity Sentiment Kit 2017 from Unity Stamp Company, the paper mat under the sentiment as well as the bling and paper the image is stamped on is also from The Stamps of Life. I used Archival jet black ink to stamp the image and sentiment. I colored in the image with mostly Monte Marte markers and 2 Stampin' Write markers- Magenta Madness and Cinnamon Crumble from Stampin'Up. I'm using this card for a graduation instead of a birthday a friend's son just graduated from Ohio State University. I colored the balloons in colors for OSU and he likes the color green, and he likes Michigan Wolverines basketball.  I also tried to make it simple like the sketch and simple since it's for a guy. I also made another card today, but I will share that one later. Happy Cinco de Mayo! TFL!

April 24 Hour Challenge

I made the following layout using the sketch above for a 24 Hour Challenge with a private scrapbook group I'm in, Scrappin' 'n Chattin', meaning I had 24 hours to complete the layout based on the sketch. My partner chose this sketch for me and Close To My Heart Blossom collection. I decided to rotate the sketch vertically since my picture is vertical. Like I said, I used CTMH Blossom Collection for the main background of the layout and the layered pieces. I'm not sure on the measurements on the strips/layers on the sketch, but I did measure as I cut each piece. The tags are from my stash K& Company, but I don't have them in front of me so I don't know the name of them. The title Easter is from a RAK, but I also have this Best Occasion Jewel Punch Pack. I attached them down after running them through my Xyron 1.5' Create-A-Sticker maker. I tore the capital E when I added it to my page, so I added a jewel enamel dot from The Stamps of Life. I typed the journaling on my computer in Lucinda Calligraphy font- me in my Easter dress 4-17-22. I bought my dress from Belk on sale half off. The photo mat and journaling mat is also from Close To My Heart Blossom collection. This is the first layout I have made following a sketch in awhile so I was nervous about it, but it turned out good.

TFL and have a good week!

Mom & Me

I made this layout following the sketch above from Soul Scrappers Challenges on Facebook. The paper is from Hobby Lobby The Paper Studio Watercolor Stripe. The date tag is from Colorbok Homemade Paper Plus 12 x 12 paper pad. The picture was taken 12-27-21 at my sister's house. The photo mat is from Colorbok Bright 8.5 x 11 Smooth Cardstock pad that I cut down to a little bigger than 4 x 4- the size of the picture. The title sticker- Mom & Me is also from Hobby Lobby The Paper Studio La Petites Dimensional Stickers, they're all stickers about Mom. The journaling mat is from Pink Paislee Cottage Farms 6 x 6 paper pack that I trimmed down to fit under the title.  I typed the journaling on my computer- Mama and  I received the same shirt for Christmas and just happened to wear it the same day. We had to have a picture taken! We went to my sister's house for the day. I haven't scrapped in awhile and wanted to keep this page simple. TFL and have a great weekend!

So Happy We Are Friends

I made this card following the sketch above. Bobbie Sue and Friends of Unity are hopping this weekend and using this sketch. #friendsofunitybloghop I used Unity Stamp Company Being Yourself stamp kit and stamped the image and 2 sentiments with Gina K Designs Amalgam ink. I used paper from The Stamps of Life as the card base and paper I stamped on. The patterned paper is from The Paper Studio Country Road 4.5 x 6.5" pad and the hot pink scraps behind the sentiments are from Colorbok Bright 8.5 x 11" Smooth Cardstock Pad. The sequins are also from The Stamps of Life. I used my Xyron 150 Create A Sticker to attach the sentiments, Tombow Aqua Mono Liquid Glue to attach the sequins, and Teresa Collins Xyron Mega Runner to attach the patterned paper and the stamped image. I plan on mailing this card to a friend for Valentine's day. Feel free to trying the sketch out for yourself, but tag Bobbie Sue's blog and use #friendsodunitybloghop in your post like I did. Have a great day! TFL!

Christmas 2021

I made this layout yesterday afternoon. I used Echo Park Paper Company A Gingerbread Christmas Collection Poinsettia paper for the background patterned paper and the title sticker- Merry Christmas is from the same collection. The tag that I wrote Christmas 2021 on is from Carta Bella Christmas Element Sticker sheet. The green paper mat for the journaling is from the Echo Park Paper Co A Gingerbread Christmas 6x6 Paper Pad that I trimmed down for the journaling. I typed the journaling on my computer- I wake up every Christmas before everyone else gets up to watch A Christmas Story. It was warm enough this year for me to wear the t-shirt to prove it! No one else likes the movie is why I get up early to watch and I got a nap before dinner.

Sisters

I made this layout last night. The main background patterned paper is from Craft Smart Fabulousness  12x12 in paper pad, the banner is strips of paper from The Stamps of Life Smiles Collection 6x6 in paper pad that I ran through my Xyron 1.5 Create-A-Sticker maker to adhere it to the layout, I typed the title- SISTERS- on my computer-  I forgot which font I used. The photo mat is from Colorbok 8.5 x 11 Bright Smooth Cardstock pad that I trimmed down to a little bigger than the picture. I used a die from my stash for the journaling tag and the paper is also from The Stamps of Life as are the green enamel dots. I wrote on the tag that the picture is of Emily & I (my sister) 12-27-21. The besties tag is from Recollections Funky Fresh. We have always been best friends.  We don't get our picture taken together enough. I haven't scrapped in awhile and didn't want to add too much to this layout because of the picture and the background paper. Stay tuned for more layouts! 🙂
