What's on my Desk

I made this card for a swap. The swap is called Card with Stickers. I know the butterflies don't look like stickers, but when you run them through Xyron Create A Sticker like I did you have stickers! All of the butterflies even the vellum butterfly and big butterfly in the middle and the 2 squares of PP where sent to me for a layout challenge from Margaret Workman. I just used them on a card. I wanted to try something different! The sentiment- hello- is from The Stamps of Life wreath2stamp. The washi tape is from my stash. The bling is from LacePlaceByHolley. I stamped the sentiment with Ranger Archival Ink and glued the blue butterfly onto the vellum butterfly with Tombow Clear Mono Liquid Glue and also used it on the bling. The paper is also from The Stamps of  Life. I mailed this out yesterday so it would be mailed on time. TFL!

Away We Go

I made this layout following  Sketches In Thyme Sketch #528. The paper is Make A Wish from Simple Stories Say Cheese 4 12x12 Collection Kit and so is the title, Away We Go. The music notes border sticker is from Echo Park Paper Company Magical Adventure Element Stickers. I couldn't find a broom sticker so I used a party whistle from Photo Play Paper Company Cake for the broom. The journaling sticker is from Heidi Swapp Sun Chaser 12x12 Paper Collection. I wrote Silas & Zach are riding the broom around the room. Campers chanted for Silas to Ride the Broom and Zach joined him for more humor! Smartnick Cafeteria Roanoke Christian Camp 2nd Intermediate Week. The chant was Ride the Broom Around the Room Silas Ride the Broom Around the Room Silas We won't shut up until you get up Ride the Broom Around the Room Silas. It was loud and annoying at times, but this time wasn't.

Sending You Snail Mail

I made this card following the above sketch from Freshly Made Sketches. I decided to make my card horizontally instead of vertically like the sketch shows. The card base is Ginger Snap from The Stamps of Life as well as the snail- snails2stamp/die and the sentiment is from the same stamp set. I stamped the sentiment with Ranger Archival jet black ink and the snail with My Favorite Things Extremely Black  acid free ink. I colored in the snail with Spectrum Noir duo blend markers and accented it The Stamps of Life Cantaloupe and Mint Chip 3D ink. The pink/red paper is from The Stamps of Life Happy Hello Collection and the green strips is from one sheet of Stampin' Up 6x6 designer series paper. I just flipped the middle piece. The epoxy dots at the top are also from The Stamps of Life. I'm going to mail this card to one of my girls from camp. Have a great week! TFL!

Hang In There

I stuck to the sketch as close as I could. I used Pretty Little Studio Wildflowers Collection. I didn’t want to make the background too busy since the picture is kind of dark. I took it with no flash, but the sun was bright that afternoon. I decided to use a picture from camp. I’m glad I still have the original picture on my phone to zoom in to see who is actually in the photo! Lol. Crizma, pronounced like Charisma, is the one in pink. I need to get back to writing the girls next week. I have written 3 of them and need to write the other 3. I had 6 girls in my room. I wish I would have gotten to know the boys more, but they all stayed to themselves. The girls didn’t like boys and vice versa. Lol. I fussy cut the heart out of one of the papers in this collection and the border as well. The title and puffy sticker isn’t from the collection. The puffy sticker is from The Stamps of Life Hang in There collection. The title is from Reminsce Quote Book Kit. The sun flair button is from Pretty Little Studio. This collection doesn’t have embellishments with it so I improvised! The paper I used for the journaling is actually the back of the purple- Lilac Blooms and the main paper is called Honeycomb. I wrote From Left to Right: Macie, Mallory, Trinity, Lukas, & Crizma hanging on the monkey bars for part of a Photo Hunt during 2nd Intermediate Week at Roanoke Christian Camp. The photo hunt was like a scavenger hunt, but you take pictures instead of finding items. The strip at the bottom, where I stamped the date with a Amy Tangerine rotary stamp with Gina K Amalgam black ink, is also from Pretty Little Studio. I will be scrapping more today and add some more recent projects later so please come back. TFL and have a great day!
