Mojo Monday 486

I made the following card using the sketch above from Mojo Monday.

The card base is Recollections A2 Kraft. All of the paper is from K&Company Amy Butler Double-Sided Belle Mat Pad. The heart- You are the Sunshine of my Life- is from Prima Marketing Rosy Belle Ephemera Embellishments. The twine is Watermelon Sorbet from Timeless Twine. The bling at the top is Basic Grey Capture Candy Buttons and Tangerine Crystal Stickers by Mark Richards from Shabby is Chic Boutique. I tried to stay as close as I could to the sketch. I decided to change the sentiment from a circle to a heart since I used bright colors. The sentiment goes along with the bright colors. TFL!

A Year of Card Techniques- So Sketchy Blog Hop

Welcome to the Year of Card Techniques February: So Sketchy Blog Hop! You should have arrived from Theresa's blog (http://scrapsbygracie.blogspot.com), but if you just stumbled across my blog please start back at the beginning with Theresa. This is the sketch all of us were given to follow.

Claudia  is our sponsor for this hop and is also participating with her blog in the hop.
This is the prize/stamp set she is offering to anyone who comments and becomes a follower of each blog on the hop.

Now on with the hop!

Here's what I chose to do with the above sketch. The card base is Recollections A2 Kraft. I added The Paper Studio Poteeka Butterflies 12 x 12" patterned paper trimmed down to fit the front of the card. The stamped image is Unity Stamp Company Itty Bitty Butterfly Birthday Cupcake. I stamped it with Versa Fine Black Onyx Pigment Ink on typing paper and then colored it in with Sharpie 80s Glam Jellie Pink Permanent Marker for the icing and accented the dots/lines/body of butterfly with Gelly Roll White Gel Pen; the butterfly and the cupcake liner is colored in with American Crafts Chromatix Dual Tip- Medium- Grape 2 Acid Free Alcohol Blending Marker; and the little flowers are colored in with Sharpie Pink Ultra Fine Point Permanent Marker- but you can't really tell they're colored in since that pink is so light. The pink strip is from K&Company Amy Butler Belle 4 x 6" Mat Pad- and I honestly don't know the dimensions since I just cut the strip to fit the card and follow the sketch. The flowers are from a RAK from another swap from EyeLet Outlet & Brads Flower Purple- it comes with various sizes and shades of purple paper flowers. The lime green brad is from my stash. I found some new to me Ad Tech Gold Standard Archival Permanent Runner to glue everything down with- it's clear and doesn't leave any yellow marks. That's all I have for you today. You will be hopping to Kim (http://katydidcards.com) next and I'm sure she will have a fabulous card to share with us! Thanks for hopping along with us!

Now on with my project:
I decided to make a card to be given to someone at a later date, I'm not sure who yet. The card base is Recollections A2 Kraft. I cut a sheet of 12 x 12" Basic Occasions Jewel Scrap Pack to fit the card and glued it down with Elmer's Craft Bond Permanent Tape Runner. The stamped image is from Unity Stamp Company Dragonflies and Fairies set. This image was given to me in a swap in Girls, Giggles, Glitter, and Glue on Facebook. I used my scalloped edge decorative scissors to cut it out of the sheet of white cardstock it was on with some other stamped images. I used Spectrum Noir Essentials Blended Professional Colored Pencils to color in the fairy and used the same Elmer's Craft Bond to glue it down. The sentiment- all you need is faith, trust, and a little Pixie Dust is also from Unity- it was in a grab bag I won from one of their Growing In Unity blog hops. I stamped it with Versa Fine Onyx Black Pigment Ink on typing paper and fussy cut around the image so it would fit on the card. I know the card doesn't say get well soon, but it fits. I left the inside blank so I can write a message in it before mailing it.
Up next is SHANNON H- http://shannonhdesigns.blogspot.com/ and I'm sure she has something uplifting to share with us.

Valentine Easel

I made this card following this tutorial- Christmas Easel Card- after commenting on Kim's blog and saw that she made one. It looked easy and it was. The only difference with my card and the tutorial is I didn't follow the measurements exactly. I compared this card to A2 cards that I usually make and it's the same size. Mine is just a little smaller than the one in the tutorial. Anyway, I did use all Close To My Heart My Reflections La Vie En Rose paper packet except for the easel side is Basic Grey Vivienne Iris double sided patterned paper. The card base is My Reflections La Vie En Rose Ruby and I glued it together with Elmer's Craft Runner Tape. The sequins were a RAK that I can't remember who gave them to me right now. I used Elmer's Craft Bond Tacky Glue to glue them down. The washi tape and You Are Loved sticker are from Recollections Valentine Washi/sticker set.  The Happy Valentine's Day is a Craft Smart stamp that I stamped with Ranger Jet Black Archival Ink on CTMH Whisper White card stock and then I fussy cut the image out. I added a Recollections foam square to the back of the image as well as the sentiment- From Me to You- which is part of the strip at the top of the CTMH La Vie En Rose paper-  at the bottom of the easel. I didn't take a picture of the card folded flat, but the easel part will fold flat and fit in an A2 envelope to mail. I plan on mailing Valentine's out this year since I didn't mail out Christmas cards. I'll write a short note on the Whisper White side of the easel card before mailing. TFL!

Stamping Fun

I decided to start a planner for 2017. I found a Mead Weekly/Monthly Planner at Walmart. The jar XOXO sticker is from Sticko Everyday Stickers Mason Jar Love. The Panda stamp is Craftin Desert Divas Panda Holidays and I used stamped it with Versa Fine Onyx Black Pigment Ink. This is New Year's Eve. The washi tape is Studio G.
two close-ups of February, the stamps are from Crafting Desert Divas Plan On It. The stickers are Sticko Hashtag Stickers and the hearts/cherries stickers are from Sticko Everyday Sticker book.

Valentine's Day Craftin Desert Divas Panda Holidays and the washi tape is Studio G

I decided to start a SMASHbook for Jason and I. This is SMASH Simple Style Binder. I found it at Ollie's. I used the Studio G Mason Jar Hearts washi tape again. The sticker is also from Sticko Everyday Sticker Book. The list stamp is from Craftin Desert Divas Plan On It and this picture was taken Thanksgiving Day so I used Panda Holidays and this panda looks like he's celebrating Thanksgiving. I wrote at the bottom that Jason went with me to Roy and Debbie's house to meet my dad's side of the family. This was our first Thanksgiving together! Jason made a squash casserole and I made brownies. We watched football while we ate  Jason had fun "talking" to Grace, Michele's baby girl. I had fun just being with my cousins, aunts, and uncles.

This picture was taken January 6, 2017 at Atlantic Beach, NC. I used some of the same stickers as before. I used SMASH Clear Arrows Washi Tape and SMASH Special Occasions journal page. I wrote on the journal sheet that Jason came at 6:15 am to get me and took me with him to run errands  all morning. We ate at Golden Corral in Jacksonville for breakfast, took Thomas to the dentist, we went to McDonald's for coffee for me and then went to the beach. I was back home by 11 am!
This picture of me was taken Christmas Day with my selfie stick. The washi tape is Recollections. The stamp Celebrate the Everyday is from Unity Stamp Company Everyday Celebration and I used Versa Fine ink again to stamp it. The journaling tag is from Recollections Tag book. I wrote- Even though Grandmama died early Christmas morning, the day ended up being a good day. I took this picture with my selfie stick that Dustin gave me. I got up early yo watch A Christmas Story. We had a short worship service. We didn't have our Christmas meal until supper. The coffee cup stamp is from CDD Plan On It and the panda is from CDD Panda Holidays. I used some more of the same stickers.
 TFL! Have a great week!

A Day At the Beach

I made this card for a swap yesterday and am just getting around to blogging about it. I'm entering this card in  The Sisterhood of Craf...
