Happy World Card Making Day!! :)
I went to a co-worker's baby shower today and made her this card. It just so happened to be World Card Making Day, as well, so this is the one card I made! The paper is Heidi Grace Designs Flocked Cardstock Baby Girl Birds. "Welcome to the World Baby" are Mambi STICKS stickers, the round stickers are Recollections, and the ribbon is Recollections. I apologize for the darkness of the picture. I made this early this morning (like around 1am) and didn't want to wake my parents by turning on the dining room light. I'm going to scrap some next week and will take better pics of the my LOs! I just wanted to share this card with you. I know my screen is dark, but it may not be as dark to you. The girls' at the shower loved the card and the girl I gave the card to loved it so that's all that matters! :) Have a great weekend and TFL!

Sweet Birthday Memories & Relax
I made both of these LOs on Monday, but just getting around to posting them on my blog and to their designated websites!
I made this LO based on the sketch above from Scrapbook Challenges. I would post the link, but you have to be a member to view anything on the site. Both pics were taken on July 4, 2012 as the journaling states and "Tammy made a chocolate birthday cake w/ peanut butter frosting for mine & Emily's birthdays." The main background paper is Recollections Banners. The striped paper is Mambi Sunshine Speciality Pad, the other 2 strips are K&Company- from Niki, the birthday stickers are Sticko Birthday Party, the sisters/flower stickers are Sticko Family, and the Happy 4th of July/American flag stickers are Creatology Sticker Book. The pic mats and title "sweet birthday memories" are from a Happy Day 6x6 pad that I just recently won from a blog hop. The strips under the journaling are Basic Grey Life of the Party 6x6 pad. Tammy put old pics of Emily & I on the birthday cake so it's actually a picture in a picture! She cut up a picture of Emily, Tyler, and I from last year when they came to visit. She always makes a cake for us to share since our birthdays are so close, well whenever she's with us on one of our birthdays! This is my favorite of the 2 LOs!
This LO is for Sketch Inspiration based on the sketch above. The main paper is Paper House Productions Beach, the pink strip is Basic Grey (I don't remember the collection since this is scrap), the ribbon is American Crafts Peachy Keen, and the sun is Momenta. The beach ball sticker is Sticko Beach time, the title "relax" is Recollections Dimensional stickers, the sunglasses are off another beach sticker sheet in my stash, and the bracket is Basic Grey Sultry Element Stickers. I changed the sketch up a little, because of the paper I didn't want to cover the "beach" sign and I didn't want to add the bottom border because of that fact! The journaling is under the pic of me and states that "Tammy, Emily, Tyler (not pictured), and I went to Falls Lake on July 16, 2012." Tyler wouldn't let me take his picture! Falls Lake is in Durham, NC and is beautiful! They have a rope in the water to keep you from going to deep in the water. You swim at your own risk without a lifeguard, but it's a national park with bathrooms/changing area & showers outside to spray off. I'll do another LO soon to show more of it! TFL and have a great Labor Day if you're in the US! :)

Gift Tags
I made these star gift tags this afternoon for my Sunday School class for those going up to the 2nd grade. I found the stars on a website a long time ago along with some other tags and saved them to the computer. I don't remember the name of the website. I used Recollections A is for Apple 12x12 paper and traced the stars on it & then cut them out and glued them to green almost lime green Deluxe Textured Cardstock (again I traced the stars on a 12x12 sheet and cut them out). I wrote "Moving Up" on the stars with a black American Crafts Basics gel pen and used a stencil to trace the letters. I don't know the manufacturer's name of the stencil, it's not really for scrapbooking, but I use it for scrapbooking! Then I used Sticko Time for School stickers, those came in handy :), to decorate the tags a little more and I added Recollections 2012 ribbon and didn't have enough for all 6 stars so I used some red orange ribbon out of my stash! I made 6 stars and didn't want to take a pic of all 6 since they are very similar. The lady that I co-teach the Preschoolers-1st grade with bought the kids moving up a gift and she asked me to make gift tags. I think the kids and their parents will love them! Oh, I also used Making Memories Eyelets & set them with my hammer from my Making Memories Tool Kit II to attach the ribbon. I tried to make the ribbon long enough so the tags can be tied to the gift, but if it can't be tied they can be taped. I put our names on the back. TFL! I hope you all have a good weekend! I'm have Mirror Mirror on reserve at Red box and am gonna get it tomorrow. I can't wait to watch it!

Girls Night Out
I used the above sketch from Let's Scrap (http://letsscrap.ning.com) to follow to make this 2 page LO. The green paper is Colorbok Colored Textured Paper, the other paper is Recollections Multi Paint Splatter, the art supply stickers (paint brushes/pallettes/pencils) are Sticko Time For School, the blue/pink stickers are Sticko Best Friends, the blue/purple stickers are K&Company Poppy Seed Words Embossed Stickers, and the rest of the stickers are Momenta. The ribbons on both top and bottom of both pages are American Crafts, the tan/red is from the Peachy Keen set. The journaling is on pg 2 in the blue butterfly block (from Niki) and states that "Laura, Duchess, (her sister), & I went to Accidental Artist for Paint Til You Faint on June 30, 2012 from 7:30-11:30 PM. We had a blast!" We "fainted" at 11:30 and the party ended at midnight. We were all tired, but stayed long enough! I wrote under the pic of me on the 2nd page that "I won this ring holder as a door prize & was letting it dry before painting the other side! LOL!" Laura decided to take my pic and told me to roll my eyes like I was holding a hat! I wrote on the 1st page by the cell phone sticker that "I made a cell phone, but it isn't as cute as this one!" It's actually a blackberry and I painted it pink/purple and put green dots on the back of it. I'll take pics of it and post it on here later. I might even do a SMASH book entry and put a pic of my ring holder and my "blackberry" in my SMASH book. I also made a guitar for my stepbrother's 27th birthday and put his birth year on the front (1985). I didn't take a pic of it. I wanted to paint a calculator, but they didn't have any. He used to love playing Guitar Hero and loves music, so the guitar fit him and he loved it! I may scrap some more next week so check back here again next week! Have a great weekend & TFL! :)

A Day At the Beach
I did this 2 page LO based on the sketch above for Sketch Inspiration (http://www.sketchinspiration.ning.com). I used My Mind's Eye It's Time...Breaking Free Adventure Series Totally Flipable Paper for both pages. The accent pages are: the yellow swirl and striped papers are Me & My Big Ideas Sunshine Pad, the blue on pg 1 is Recollections Water 8.5x11 Cardstock, the purple on pg 1 is Recollections, the purple on pg 2 is Markings Inspirations 8x8 Reversible Paper, and the green on pg 2 is Marcella by K Birthday Paper Pad. The flip flops on both bottom corners are Gartner Studios Summer Confetti that I adhered with my Xron 1.5" Create-A-Sticker, the beach stickers are Sticko Beach Time, and the adhesives on both picture blocks are K&Company Tim Coffey Grand Adhesions Travel Word Dimensional Stickers. The title "A Day at the Beach" is on the left of the first page vertically, it's My Mind's Eye Tiny Tales Beach Vellum. I've been wanting to use the Totally Flipable Paper and found it again at Michaels to do a 2 pg LO! The journaling on the 2nd pg states that "Julie invited me to go to the beach with Jennifer (her daughter) & Connie at Ft Macon State Park on June 29, 2012." The journaling tag was given to me in the goodies from Niki. I forgot the bling at the top of both pages are Recollections, well page 1 is, page 2 is from some RAK I received from someone or basically from my stash.
I can't believe it's been almost a month since I've scrapped!! I'm gonna scrap again on Wednesday. I have some more pictures to scrap. I'm catching up on my pics that I've taken since I got my new camera! I'm starting at the beginning of the card and working my way through! I've been watching pieces of the Summer Olympics. I enjoyed watching the Team Jumping (the horse competition) this afternoon! I've been looking forward to it since the Olympics started! I can't wait to watch Days Of Our Lives again, too, the Olympics are on its place right now. I've been watching Young & The Restless instead and it's just as crazy!! I hope you all are having a great summer & TFL!

Skipping Stones Inspiration Challenge 136
Skipping Stones Design ( http://skippingstonesdesign.com/) had a blog hop yesterday and the above picture was given as the inspiration to follow. Here's my take for the challenge:
Haylee's 18 birthday is Sunday and I thought this would be a perfect time to make her card! Yes, the little girl in the dance outfit is Haylee, at 7 years old in 2002, she danced to Judy in Disguise and had a pair of plastic sunglasses to wear during the routine. It's hard to believe that she's going to be 18 and going off to college soon! Time flies! Anyway, on to my card! I used Best Occasions (BO) Pearlescent Paper Pack for the card and the background of the paper flower. I saw the grey and yellow colors and automatically thought of this paper pack! I've had it for years and am down to 3 pages left! It may have been the first pack I ever bought!! The flower I fussy cut out of My Mind's Eye Bella Bella by Carina Gardner and I attached it to the yellow BO paper with a Making Memories brad and attached to the card with a Recollections 1/2 inch Foam Adhesive Square, "Happy Birthday" stamp is SSD Chic set, the pink/blue star is Basic Grey Life of the Party chipboard, the ribbon is American Crafts Peachy Keen, and the flowers are paper flowers I was given in a swap and I used Golden Rod Ranger Stickles to give them a center & accent them a little! I almost forgot I highlighted "Happy Birthday" and some points on the flower with my Gelly Roll Clear Star pen to make them sparkle!! I wish I could have taken a picture of the sentiment inside, but I highlighted it with the same pen and there was a glare on the pic. The sentiment states that "Some people come into our lives, leave footprints in our hearts, and we are never ever the same." I thought it fit perfect for Haylee, because we've become so close as sisters even though we aren't blood and our parents have been married for almost 13 years! You are welcome to try the inspiration challenge if you'd like the challenge doesn't end until Monday, July 16! Just click on the link above and go to the July 10 blog post! TFL! :)

Smile Graduate & Birthday SMASH Entry
This is another LO of Haylee's graduation. The paper is MAMBI Graduation- both the striped and midde papers. The pic mats are Colorbok Deluxe Textured Cardstock Yellow (for PCHS colors- black and gold). It's the closest to gold I could find in the stack! The black & gold stars, "Graduate" chipboard as part of the title, and the gem circles are also MAMBI Graduation. The "Smile" sticker is Studio G as is the "dream" chipboard letters. The other stickers- "Congrats Grad!", the books with a cap/tassel, the gown, and the cap with a diploma are Sticko Happy Grad and the "Beautiful" and "Me & You" stickers are K&Company Poppy Seed Words Embossed Stickers. The journaling states that "Joe Warren & Haylee (are) receiving their diplomas." in the little pix and the bigger picture is of "Haylee and I after her graduation." I printed the journaling in black & gold as well! This LO took me about 30 minutes to complete once I found all the stickers I wanted to use. I wanted to include the 2012 Recollections ribbon, but couldn't find it. I'll just put this LO with the previous one and it will be A-OK!
My birthday was June 27th and I decided to do a SMASH Book entry to keep up with all my cards and remember my birthday! In the top left corner of the left page I decided to use Today's Favorite Playlist out of the Entertainment SMASH pad and included my favorites from the day: "'Happy Birthday' sung by Tyler (my little 4 yr old brother) on cell phone video, lunch from Subway- my choice, birthday card below from Jennifer (Julie's daughter made it) & TJ Maxx co-workers signed, and watched Dirty Dancing on VH1- I love Patrick Swayze!! (He still lives on in his movies!)" I attached the card from Jennifer & Julie with a paper fastener. I wrote "My 36th Birthday!!" and a squiggly line under it with American Crafts Candy Shoppe Collection Red, Pink, & Purple pens- my favorite colors- and used the same pens on the journal block paper. I didn't get a balloon or a party hat, but decided to include them in my SMASH book to add some color and filler! The hat is Basic Grey Life of the Party Chipboard, the flower is a Studio G Paper Flower and I accented it with Tim Holtz Waterfall & Silver Stickles, and the balloon/streamer is Sticko Birthday. I traced the gift box on Recollections Cupcake Paper using a stencil of a gift box- I got the stencils as a set from Walmart a LONG time ago and I don't remember the manufacturer! I don't have the wrap! The "Happy Birthday" ribbon is Recollections and the striped ribbon is Bobbin Ribbon. I wrote on the gift box what gifts I received for my birthday- "Hot Pink Vivitar Vivicam 7122, Pretzel M&M's, Facebook bday wishes, birthday cards online and on opposite page, Green seashell necklace & earrings set, $10, pink/green friendship bracelet, lighthouse cross stitch, Studio G scrapbook paper/stickers/stamp set, $3 off coupon from CVS (e-mail), Dairy Queen buy one get one free coupon (e-mail), and Bath & Body Works hand lotions!" I didn't write in my SMASH book that I had 2 cakes, but I did! I had a chocolate chip cookie pizza from Harris Teeter & Harris Teeter Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough ice cream on my birthday and then on July 4 I had a chocolate cake with peanut butter frosting to share with my sister, Emily, since her birthday was July 4 and I didn't see my dad and stepmom on my birthday! I'll write that in later! The cake I cut out of a 12x12 sheet of Momenta Birthday Collection, and the ice cream cone is an old sticker that may be Halllmark. On the right hand page I attached a calendar pocket that came with the SMASH book (well it did when I received it as blog candy) and covered it with 2 pieces of envelopes from my cards and some Studio G butterflies paper from Studio G Variety Paper Pack that I received for my birthday and wrote "cards" on it with American Crafts Fuschia Glitter Marker and American Crafts Green with the squiggly line underneath again! I added Three Bugs in a Rug Celebrate Stickers "Make a Wish" and the same ribbons as before.
This sticker "Birthday Wishes" -also Three Bugs in a Rug-is under all the cards at the top of the right hand page. I don't like leaving white space when I scrap or in my SMASH book!

Live In The Moment & Birthday Card
I made this LO Monday afternoon, but am just getting around to posting it. It's been a busy week with the "surprise" storm Sunday and then my sister's birthday Wednesday. The card below is for her. These pictures are more pics from the family get together at my grandmama's & Mr. Raffael's house on June 9. The top pic is of "Mr. Ray & Aino playing corn holes" and the bottom pic is "James Penny- He's such a happy baby!!" He's the same baby that I posted a LO of his mom helping him open at present at Christmas! He's grown so much!! The paper is Studio G, the flower bordering is two flower stamps joined together and I decided to make some borders on my layout :), the pic mats are Studio G under the top pic and MME Happier 6x6 pad, as are the journaling backgrounds (MME), the title "Live In The Moment" is Colorbok Textures, the sentiment "Inside every older person is a younger person wondering what happened." Jennifer Yane is DCWV Color Quotes Stack, the tag was given to me by Niki, the stamp "so much fun" and flower sticker is Studio G, and the stickers "Aunt" and "happy" are Momenta. The Studio G supplies were given to me by stepsiblings for my birthday and I had to try them out! The pens I used to color in the tag and over the flowers are American Crafts, my favorite Gelly Roll Clear Star, and American Crafts Fuschia Glitter Marker.
I made this card for my sister's birthday. She shares her birthday with America!! She was born on the Fourth of July and loves red white & blue!! :) This card is a Hallmark card set. Everything but the sticker in the inside below "it's your day to shine" is Hallmark. That sticker was part of the "It" girl package from Kim. I don't remember the manufacturer right now. The "celebrate" sticker in the middle of the inside spread is Studio G. I spent the day with my sister so I didn't write a whole lot in the card! I gave her a tank top from Walmart and some nail polish from CVS. She loved both and has already painted her nails! We had a great 4th with both our parents- blood & step all in the same house!! Tyler wasn't there, but sang "Happy Birthday" to us over the phone! Tammy made us both a cake to share for our birthdays. She has ever since they've been married and lived here in NC! It was chocolate cake with peanut butter frosting! Delicious!!
I plan on scrapping more graduation pics later so please look back later for another blog post! I've got a headache and that's probably a sign that it's late and I need to be in bed! TFL! :)

Haylee's Graduation & Family Reunion
I made this LO of Haylee's Graduation on Monday. Her graduation was June 8 at Pamlico County High School. The main paper and stickers are Mambi Graduation set. The black, gold, and silver rhinestones strip is Recollections and also PCHS colors (except the silver). I attached the program with a paper fastener. I highlighted her name inside the program. The pic mats are Colorbok Colored Texture 12x12 paper. The pics are of Haylee with my mom and her dad & then her cake at the bottom. Easy peasy! :)
I made this LO today. The stickers are Momenta Puffy Word Sticker Family. I titled it "Family Reunion". The sticker at the bottom is "cousins" because they are my cousin's children. Cousins once removed or something like that! The journaling states that "Thoma took all these pix. He even took the one of himself at the bottom! Kylee, Kylee, and Mama are in the middle pic. We're making fish with tissue paper squares, glitter markers, and glue sticks. The top pic is of Mr. Raffael and his children." The fish was the craft I mentioned in my last post. They're chipboard found at Michaels made by Creatology. They have several designs not just fish! The main paper is Me & My Big Ideas Sunshine Speciality Pack and the pic mats are Six By Six by My Mind's Eye Happier Designer Card Stock Paper Double Sided. Today is my birthday, so I had to scrap! I was given the day off!! I made myself breakfast, watched Dirty Dancing on VH1, caught up on DVR shows, had a chocolate chip cookie pizza as my cake/chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream, received a Vivitar Vivicam 7122 (hot pink) w/ a memory card & Pretzel M&M's from my parents! I've received lots of birthday wishes on Facebook, e-mail, and various sites. It's been a good day and the celebrating isn't over! I'm celebrating more on Saturday on a date and then Accidental Artist Paint Until You Faint! I'll share details of the date later!! :) TFL!

Catching Up
I wanted to do a LO of the Children's Musical/Play "Spend Awhile On the Nile", but didn't take any pics. I did at least have a program! As the snake journaling block states it was "Debbie Haagen's Last Children's Musical/Dinner Theater with BCCC". The bottom journaling block states that "The kids all loved singing every song & all their parts. You could tell by the excitement on their faces!" The paper is DCWV All About Boys Stack, the "Adventure Bound" sticker & fish sticker are both Momenta from a huge set of stickers that I bought at TJ Maxx $30 worth for about $4! The snake journaling block was given to me in a RAK from Sandi. The bottom brown journaling block was in a book, I don't remember the name of it. It was white in the middle to begin with and I colored it with Tim Holtz Adirondack Alcohol Ink Currant and Meadow! The blue outline is Stickles. The balloon and string are Hallmark stickers for a birthday celebration, but the kids did have balloons in the performance is why I included a balloon! The blue dots on the paper are water dots and made with Tim Holtz Adirondack Alcohol Ink Meadow. I also highlighted some water "waves" with Stickles Waterfall and Blue.
I have been saving this pic to do with these papers for awhile. I saw it when I was looking for paper for the previous LO so I decided to complete it! This picture is of Tyler on "Sturdy Beggar outside the NC History Center at Tryon Palace". All the paper is All About Boys Stack 12x12 and 6x6 (even the pic mat). The title is stickers from a book that I bought from TJ Maxx that included the journaling block in the previous LO that I can't remember the name of. My dad bought this pirate hat for Tyler at a shop in Beaufort when they were here to visit last Thanksgiving. We kept saying "arrgh" like pirates and I think we should have been saying "yarr"! lol That's why I included all the sayings pirates say over the picture!

I did this LO following the above sketch for Sketches in Thyme. I've always liked Thomas Kinkade and love lighthouses. I chose this post card- Clearing Storms to do this LO with! It's from "Seaside Memories IV and Published 1997" as the journaling states under it. The paper is Colorbok Summer. I thought the lines on the paper kinda resemble waves. The brown polka dot paper is Recollections Cupcake Creations 8.5x11 paper pack, the blue water spot paper is Colorbok Textures, and the title stickers and the other stickers are Colorbok Summer. The zigzagged banner is K&Company that I bought from TJ Maxx as well. I may retake a pic of this LO. It is really dark on my screen. I have until June 30 to post to Sketches in Thyme, I believe. Please comment and let me know what you think before I link it to Sketches in Thyme! TFL!

Graduation 2012
I made these cards for Laurel & Haylee. The first card is from Laurel. I was inspired by their school colors and decided to use them in both cards. Laurel is graduating from New Bern High on Saturday, my Alma Mater. NBHS' colors are red & black, so I used Recollections Adhesive Rhinestones that are red & black. The paper is Mambi Graduate Collection as are the stickers on both cards. The ribbon is Recollections "2012" with stars. The second card is for Haylee and she is graduating from Pamlico County High tomorrow night or later tonight. PCHS' colors are black & gold so I chose Recollections Adhesive Rhinestones again in black & gold! The red/black rhinestones are actually on a longer string and I cut one string in half. I added more stickers on the inside and put a slip of paper with red in Laurel's and gold/yellow in Haylee's for me to write a note on. I wrote a book in each! Laurel grew up in my church youth group and Haylee is my stepsister who I have watched grow from 1st grade until now- the end of her senior year. They are both going onto the same college- UNCW. Haylee is going into Nursing & Laurel into Day Care, but I'm not sure about that. Laurel is good with kids so she could major in that! I will be attending Haylee's, but not Laurel's. We have a family get together on Saturday at my grandmama's house. I've actually prepared a fish craft for the little kids to do after lunch and will have a pic to share later! I have some scrapbook LOs to share, but will post them later. Graduation is on my mind right now, so I thought I'd share these! Enjoy and have a great weekend! :)

Spending TIme Together
I made this LO following the above sketch for Authentique's May Sketch Challenge. (http://blog.authentiquepaper.com/2012/05/may-sketch-challenge.html) I used Authentique Gathering 6x6 Bundle Collection fot the pic mats, American Crafts Peachy Keen Premium Ribbon, and K&Company Susan Winget for both the background and the corner papers. The title, "Spending time together." and the sticker behind it are both DCWV La Creme Cardstock Sticker Stack. The pictures are of my mom, Mr. Ray, Dustin, & Emily playing Washer Toss. I wanted to use these pics to show the progression in Mr. Ray's movements in each play of the game! I didn't include any journaling because there's no room and I've done other LOs of some of the same pics. I tried to cut the pic mats as close as I could to make the 4 pics an even square, but it didn't turn out that way. It's not off too much! LOL! TFL & have a good Memorial Day weekend!

Laura & Pirate
I made these pages based on the Let's Scrap (http://letsscrap.ning.com/) sketch above. It took me 4 hours to make sure everything fit on both pages based on the sketch! I also watched American Idol and Always & Forever while making this, but was able to look up occasionally! The planning took the longest! I cut the circle out first from My Mind's Eye Bella Bella, then I cut out the strips from Recollections Pink Paisley, then I put the pics on the pic mats (all K&Company from Niki), then I cut out the pics/pic mats to fit the pages, then I added the tag to the strip of Pink Paisley on the right, then added the journaling block-Authentique The Gathering, and then added the flowers and butterflies (Tim Holtz from Niki). The pics are of Laura & Pirate/Boanerges at Equine Country USA on April 14, 2012. Boanerges is Pirate's competition name. The main 2 pages are also MME Bella Bella. I just bought this pad from TJ Maxx and am loving it!! I need to get ready for work. Have a great Thursday night all! TFL!
Easter 2012
I did this LO following the sketch above for Crafty Sketches May Challenge. (http://craftysketches.blogspot.com/2012/05/sketch-for-june.html) I had Easter pics from this year that I hadn't scrapped yet, so I thought these 2 yard statues would be perfect for this sketch! The paper is My Mind's Eye (MME) Bella Bella, the green/white/black striped paper is Mambi Spring Kit & so are the bling & tulip in the bottom corner. The ribbon is American Crafts Premium Ribbon. The puffy flowers at the top are Hallmark Easter stickers. The butterfly in the top left corner is The Paper Studio Stickabilities. My grandmama was given these statues as Christmas presents. I've never really noticed them that much in her yard before.
This is the 1st page of the 2 pg LO. The top pic is the table before we ate Hardee's fried chicken and vegetables from Grandmama & Mr Raffael's garden. The top paper is MME Bella Bella (again) and the bottom paper (actually the main page, but all you see is the bottom right corner and the about 1/2 an inch on the left) is Mambi Spring Kit. The sentiment states "Easter Sunday and lilies Colors Pink and green Easter bunnies and baskets Eggs and jellybeans." & is MME Tiny Tales Vellum. I used some of the same stickers as on the previous page- Hallmark Easter puffies, The Paper Studio Stickabilites, and more bling from Mambi. These pictures were taken Easter Sunday April 8, 2012 at Grandmama's house. Her yard is full of flowers such as iris, daisies, and azaleas as seen in the pics.
This is the 2 pages put together. I will have another post later about another 2 page LO I made last night for Let's Scrap! I really like how that one turned out and can't wait to share! I need to get some lunch soon. TFL!

National Scrapbook Day
I made both of these LOs this past Saturday in honor of National Scrapbook Day! I was going to submit both of these to Scrapbook Challenges (http://www.scrapbookchallenges.com/), but missed the deadline for the first sketch. The first LO (based on Sketch 292) is of Caroline and Handsome Ransom. She won 3 Second Place ribbons at Equine Country USA in Jacksonville, NC on April 14, 2012. The paper is K&Company Urban Rhapsody; the barn & bigger horse I fussy cut out of Recollections Barnyard 12x12 open stock paper from Michaels; the horse, fence, rock, and grass are Recollections Dimensional Stickers; the title- "special kid" is MME 29th Street Market Bright "Original" Words; the tag is from K&Company Cut N Paste Tag Pad; the Celebrate sticker is from Karen Foster Designs Blow Out the Candles Cardstock Stickers; and the circle & both picture mats are also K&Company Urban Rhapsody.
The second LO is based on Sketch 293 and is a picture of me and Veronica when we met in New Bern Mall. The paper is also K&Company Urban Rhapsody; the blue flowers are Studio G Paper Flowers embellished with Tim Holtz Stickles Green & Gold; the pic mats & strips at the bottom are all K&Company (some scraps from Niki); the journaling tag is from K&Company Cut N Paste Tag Pad and states that "Veronica & I met in person for the first time on April 24, 2012, after meeting online in Cafe Jesus in 2000. She was on her honeymoon with Bill in eastern NC & came to New Bern Mall to meet me on their way to Washington!" The ribbon is Bobbin Ribbon; the brad is one of 12 We R Memory Keepers Fabric Brads Friends Furever; & the title quote is from DCWV Color Vellum Quotes Stack and states "Friendship is a heart-flooding feeling that can happen to any two people who are caught up in the act of being themselves, together."- Letty Cottin Pogrebin. The picture was taken in from of Java Junction in New Bern Mall. TFL! I have one more LO to upload in another post. :)

Tender Moments
I did this LO following the Page Map above for Courtney Walsh's Challenge (http://courtneywalsh.typepad.com/telling_stories/2012/04/this-week-my-story-will-continueover-the-weekend-i-emailed-myself-three-new-things-that-made-me-go-wow-god-you-really-a.html). I decided to scrap about a friend, who was a boyfriend at the time when both pics were taken. The paper is Recollections Teal Butterflies, the green cardstock is DCWV Earth Colors, the heart "together" tag is from my stash, the journaling tag is from the stuff from Niki, the title "Tender Moments" is from my stash, the subtitle sticker "Travel Adventure" is Sticko, the purple ribbon is from a bottle swap, the flower sticker over the ribbon at the bottom is from my stash, and the butterfly ribbon is American Crafts. The journaling states that the top pic is of "Raymond & I in Albany, GA. Late July or maybe August 2000. We were on our way back to the airport after this picture was taken. (bottom pic) Patterson Hall at Valdosta University where he attended college 2 years while we were dating. We're still friends & he is happily married." There's writing hidden behind the butterflies on the paper, but not sure what they make out. The bling is Sticko Rainbow Dots. I didn't really want to make this LO too mushy since we no longer date and since he is married. It's not really mushy at all, it's just the fact that this is a part of my history is why I scrapped the pics. TFL!

I Am The Oldest Child
I made this LO following the above sketch for SNC's April MLC (Monthly Layout Contest). The masking is the Heidi Swapp heart stamp with Skipping Stones Designs "I love you" stamp in the middle on Authentique Gathering 6x6 Bundle Collection. The 3 circles are Studio G- ladybug, bird, & flower with heart in the middle. The "I am" in my title is true "I AM THE OLDEST CHILD!" I am the oldest child of 5- one sister, 2 stepsiblings, and then a half brother. I don't consider Tyler, half, even though he is! Dustin is my stepbrother. Haylee is my stepsister and graduates from high school this year, so there might be more LOs of her coming soon! :) I used Color Box Cat's Eye Fluid Chalk Ink Pad Aquamarine to accent the title, American Crafts Blue Ink pen, Inkessentials Glossy Accents by Ranger, all on a small K&Company paper square. The blue in my LO is the main background- K& Company/K-Ology Blue, Teal, & Green Flora FlatPaper. I also used Authenique Gathering for the pic mats. The LO was intended to be about me and Emily, but ended up being about me, Emily, & Dustin. The journaling (on Autum Leaves Wellies & Brellas 3d Embellishments) states that "Emily likes teddy bears & cats & I collect lighthouses! Cape Hatteras is my favorite! Dustin taught her how to play Washer Toss!" Dustin likes to bring games home for us to try. I haven't played the game yet, but took pictures when they first played it! The little vellum strip at the bottom states "May the memories we give record the life that we live." It's from DCWV Color Quote Stack that I bought from TJ Maxx. The Cape Hatteras lighthouse patch was in a mug that I bought from Hallmark years ago and the mug broke after washing it so much. It was actually an insulated tumbler, but looked like a mug b/c it had a handle. The pic of the throw was taken while it was on her bed when we lived in Tryon Estates Townhouses in 2000.
It took me awhile to do this LO, because I've never tried masking! I had everything done this past Friday except for the masking! I thought the title was a form of masking, but realized it wasn't. I finally looked up how to do masking on YouTube and found something like what I did! I don't like doing a LO in 2 days, but in this case I had to! TFL!

Sketch Inspiration Bonus Challenge
I made this LO following the sketch above for Sketch Inspiration (http://www.sketchinspiration.ning.com/) and Paper Secrets' Bonus Challenge. The main background paper is K&Company Urban Rhapsody. The title, "Together" is My Mind's Eye Confetti Parade "You and Me" Together Title- from Kim Martin for the "It" Girl swap with SNC. The little bling on the bottom flower on the bottom pic is Darice Finishing Accents Stick on Rhinestones Dots 4, also from Kim! The circles are Basic Grey Curio 6x6 paper pad, the picture mats are K&Company Susan Wright (Niki can correct me on this one, lol), the butterflies, both flowers, and the journaling block are all from Niki and are mostly Tim Holtz! She made the journaling block and I added to it. The journaling states that "Dustin, Emily, Mama, & Mr. Ray are playing Washer Toss on a nice & warm Sunday afternoon." The paper even has that warm aura, don't you think?! TFL!
