Friends

I found this sketch on Pinterest this past Friday and decided to change up the sketch a little, but still stayed with just a stamp and a sentiment. The sketch was originally posted on CAS(E) this Sketch! and the challenge ends April 2 at 9am EST.

The card base is Recollections 4.25x5.5 in. The PP is from My Mind's Eye Bella Bella 12x12 Scrapbooking Pad. The sentiment stamp- Friends are Flowers that never fade is by Hero Arts. The flower stamp is from a floral stamp set that I'm not sure of the manufacturer- it was a gift and wasn't packaged. I stamped the flower on a piece of Martha Stewart 4x12 in Brights Punch Pad. I stamped both stamps with VersaFine Onyx Black Pigment Ink. I decided to add some bling as well to both flowers on the stamps & they are Studio Calico Adhesive Dots. The ribbon is American Crafts Premium Ribbon. I used my Xyron 1.5" Create-A-Sticker maker to adhere it to the card and Glue Dots Mini to attach the PP and the Martha Stewart square. TFL and have a great week! :)

Thinking Of You

I just won this stamp set- Tulips and Daisies- from Unity Stamp Company in the Unity Thursday blog hop on March 12 & received it in the mail on the First Day of Spring- March 20. I was gonna make a card that day anyway so I decided to get this set inky! :) I started the card Friday afternoon & messed up on the tulips stamp so I redid the tulips last night. I'm so glad I did! The card base is Recollections 4.25 in x 5.5 in.  The sentiment- Thinking of You and the tulips are from the Unity stamp set as I said before. The striped PP is from My Mind's Eye Bella Bella 12x12 Scrapbooking Pad. The pink mat under the sentiment is Recollections Butterfly Wings.  The mat under the tulips is from Martha Stewart 4x12 in Brights Punch Pad. I used Versafine Black Onyx Pigment Ink on both stamps. The colored pencils I used are EK SUCCESS Earth Colors Memory Pencils- Gold, Silver, Meadow Green, Hazel, and Magenta. I will be using these more often- they create a much neater look on stamped images! The ribbon is Martha Stewart Living. I adhered it using my Xyron 1.5" Create A Sticker maker. The floral PP is from American Crafts Dear Lizzy Neapolitan 6x6 in Paper Pad. I used Tombow Multi Mono glue on both stamps and then added Recollections Foam Adhesive Squares under them to give some dimension to the card. That's it! I can't wait to use the rest of the stamp set! :) TFL!

You Are Wonderful

I found the above sketch at Try Stampin' On Tuesday & the challenge ends next Tuesday, 3/24/15. It was an easy sketch to follow. I just had to figure out what paper to use and stamps to get started! Here's my card:
I used Recollections 4.25" x 5.5" card base. The PP is American Crafts Dear Lizzy Neapolitan 6x6" Paper Pad. Both stamps are from Unity Stamp Company May 2013 Kit Of The Month Totally & Utterly Amazing. The mats I used on both stamps are from Martha Stewart Crafts 4 x 12" Brights Punch Pad. I used Removable Glue Dots to adhere the PP, Tombow Multi-purpose glue to glue the stamped images to the mats, used VersaFine Onyx Black Pigment Ink to stamp them, and Recollections Foam Adhesive Squares to give some dimension to the stamped images. The ribbon is Bobbin Ribbon that I adhered using my Xyron 1.5" Create A Sticker Maker. That's it in a nutshell! I even used green paper with it being St Patrick's Day! I thought of that afterwards! TFL!

Try Stampin' Tuesday

I found this sketch on Pinterest and is Challenge #208 on Try Stampin' On Tuesday & the link up challenge ends tonight.
Here's what I made:
The card base is Recollections 4.25 x 5.5 found at Michaels. The butterfly paper is a piece of American Crafts Studio Calico Lemon Lush 6x6 paper pad. The flowers on the left side and the ribbon are from my stash that I adhered with my Xyron 1.5" Create A Sticker maker. I ran out of Glue dots on the butterfly paper.. The brads- butterfly & flower are K&Company Butterflies & Flowers Brads. The sentiment- Happy Easter is a Craft Smart $1 Michaels find stamp! I used VersaFine Onyx Black Pigment ink to stamp it. Here's a close-up of the stamp:
I used a pink Sharpie on one flower, a yellow orange Sharpie for the middle of the flowers, a green Sharpie to color in Easter, and Zig Memory Systems by EK SUCCESS 0.5 mm Azure/Blue ball point pen on the other flower. TFL!

My Recent Crop Night Projects

I had a crop at church this past Friday night, the same night as the blog hop I was just in. I almost used this as my project for the hop, but decided to go with what I had already. I decided to make another layout of my baby pictures & may be making more in the future! The paper is Recollections Bright Plaid found at Michaels- I thought it looked like a baby blanket. The picture mats are Recollections Butterfly Wings 4x6 paper. The ribbon was just $0.99 at Michaels and is also Recollections. I love the footprints and can use it on future baby cards. The sentiment "a child is a gift that comes through you into the world." author unknown is from a vellum set that Mrs. Gloria gave me and the cover is missing so I don't know the company that made it. I adhered it using my Xyron 1.5" Create a Sticker maker to a strip of American Crafts Dots & Stripes 4x6 Paper Pad. The stamps- BABY and Babies are such sweet beginnings, I borrowed from Vicki and I believe they are both Momenta stamps. I stamped them on paper from my stash using Versafine Onyx Black pigment ink pad. I adhered them using Glue Dots Mini. I colored in the BABY pins with my pens- the purple, pink, & green are all Sharpies and the blue is Zig Memory Systems 0.5 mm Azure Ball point pen. The silver is from an INC Starlightz Gel pen set. The journaling paper is a part of Molly & Rex note pad found at TJ Maxx- it was a gift from my Valentine swap with 4 Gs. I wrote that both pictures are of me at 5 & 7 months. 5 mos. in the top picture & 7 mos to the right.
I also made this card for a missionary that is coming to our church to speak next Sunday and it is also his birthday! The card base is Recollections 4.25 in x 5.5 in, again found at Michaels. The background paper is Paper Pizazz Confetti that I received in a birthday swap years ago and haven't used it that often. I thought it looked great with the Happy Birthday sticker which is Recollections Happy Birthday 3D Collection as is the cake. I put the HBD sticker on a piece of paper from Simple Stories Happy Day 6x6 paper pad. The washi tape is Scotch Expressions washi tape found at Walgreens. The 2 gems at the top right are Halloween Rhinestone Stickers that I received in a RAK from Kim. I'll write a message inside the card before Sunday. TFL and have a great day!

Here is my project:
I found this sketch on Pinterest & orginally from Scrapbook.com- (http://www.scrapbook.com/gallery/image/other/3406935.html)
Let me get to the details of my layout! I was born in the 70s so I decided to do a layout of one of my baby pictures. I've included a few close-ups so you can see the different elements. The paper is Recollections Pink Paisley Open Stock Paper that I found at Michaels. The "say cheese" and "always on the go" stickers are from Momenta ATD Super Sticker Pack- the baby sheet- that I found at TJ Maxx. The blue strip is a piece of paper that I used from a lady at my crop night at church= where I made this layout. The pink photo mat is Recollections Butterfly Wings 4x6 paper, also found at Michaels. The bottle is a small Sizzix die that I also used at the crop. I glued the little green piece in to give it a little color. I'll get to the picture in my journaling. The pink/red strip under the pic is Scotch Expressions Washi tape found at Walgreens. The green strip is from my stash- Bazzill Open Card Stock found at Michaels. The pink button is an 3D embelishment sticker from a set found at Michaels. I love shopping at Michaels, can't you tell! :) The journaling semicircle is from Best Occasions Jewel Punchout Pack. I wrote that this picture is of me at 7 months old in the walker and Chris Smith (one of my first friends, but I don't remember him).
this is a close-up of the title
this is a close-up of the bottle and picture
I had another crop tonight at my church and will be posting another baby layout that I made tonight soon. I hope you will come back to see it! Thanks for looking!
