Have Yourself A Jolly Little Christmas

I made this for Scrappin-n-Chattin's Long Title Challenge. The requirements were the title has to be 5 words or more. I chose "Have Yourself A Jolly Little Christmas" because it's Christmas and everyone is happy in all the pics on the LO. The Christmas PP strip & the Merry Christmas sticker are Recollections Christmas that I got from Michael's. The bling and "Jolly" were from the bottle swap from Sue and the journaling is off a notepad from Basic Grey Pyrus from Tag You're It swap from Carol. The journaling tells about the pics- "Mr Ray was wearing Dustin's goofy Santa hat. One of his gifts was the helicopter he & Emily are playing with. Christmas 2010." I did this LO in a rush because I was called in to work tonight at TJ Maxx and didn't start it until almost 5. It took me about 30 minutes to complete! I didn't want to add a lot of embellishments because of the PP.

I better get to bed. I have to be back at TJ Maxx in the morning at 9:30 and work until 1:30. Have a great day and TFL!

You Are My Sunshine

This is my LO for the 24 Hour Challenge I told you I was participating in. I had to follow the sketch above it. The pictures are of my grandparents holding Dustin & Tyler. Dustin is one of their great-grandchildren and Tyler is a grandchild (and my brother obviously). I chose these pictures because they both love all their great-grand/grandchildren and they both light up when they see us. I won this paper from Dani from the blog hop prize like the last LO. It's You Are My Sunshine Storytellers Club Collection. I used yellow textured plain 12x12 paper for the circle and the little 4 semicircles at the bottom are Basic Grey Pyrus that Carol sent me from the Tag You're It swap. All the other embellishments are part of the You Are My Sunshine collection. The journaling is on the bottom right tag. It tells that the pictures were taken Thanksgiving 2010 and who's in the pictures.

I have a busy day ahead of me. I have church to go to soon- I have to teach the Pre-K Sunday School Class and then go to worship. My grandmother (mom's mom) is bringing her new beau over for lunch for us to meet. They've been dating for about 3 weeks and we haven't met him yet. My mom has told us all about him. Then I have to work 3:45-8:30 at TJ Maxx and then watch Secret Millionaire and Army Wives. I'm off tomorrow and I can't wait!! TFL and have a great Sunday!

Soak Up the Sun

I made this LO for Scrappin-n-Chattin's Die Cut Challenge. I made my own die cut- a sand bucket out of Recollections Monkeying Around Funkey Disco Spin PP. I added a piece of red ribbon to it for the handle and a sand dollar and a sailboat as the "bolts" to hold the handle down for more decoration. The main background sheet is Water Storyteller's Club Collection that I received from Dani from her blog candy not too long ago. The title and the journaling blocks came with the collection. The "sand" is from a Colorbok book of Textured 12x12 Paper. The seashells are Sticko that I bought from Walmart and the sand bucket sticker and sun die cut is from my stash. The pictures are of (clockwise from top left to bottom left): 1. Tammy taking a pic of Tyler with his wet pants and Scott (the waves splashed Tyler), 2. Tyler and Scott standing on the shore of the beach, 3. Emily and Scott making a sand castle for Tyler, and 4. the beginning of the sand castle. Tyler didn't want to sit down in the sand, but loved the water! He was sick, too, so he didn't feel that good. We went to Fort Macon State Park November 23, 2010, 2 days before Thanksgiving. Afterwards we went to Beaufort, I haven't developed those pics yet, but will eventually & you know I'll be scrappin' them! I need to get to bed. I have either a cold or the pollen has gotten to my allergies. I hope it's just my allergies, but I'm taking cold meds just in case! I love the warm weather we're having, but can't really enjoy it thanks to my allergies! I'm going to be scrappin this Friday night for a 24 Hour Challenge with Scrappin-n-Chattin, so be looking for another post Friday or Saturday! Have a great Wednesday! :)

Gone Bananas

I made this for Scrappin-n-Chattin's Food LO for this month. The food is Tammy & Tyler's birthday cake in the top left corner. I cut up the Recollections Monkeying Around Gone Bananas 12x12 sheet and used pieces of it on this LO. The journaling block under the birthday cake is Basic Grey Pyrus and just tells that it is Tammy & Tyler's birthday cake. The other 2 pics of Tyler are self-explanatory, he's being silly and monkeying around! As you can tell, he LOVES Buzz Lightyear!  He just had his hair cut last weekend. It's a buzz cut! He wanted his hair short like Daddy's. My dad is bald, so I'm glad he didn't get it all cut off! Be looking for more Monkeying Around LOs soon, I have 2 more sheets to use! I developed a few pics this past weekend at Wal-Mart and am going to try to scrap again this weekend if not sometime next week! I'm working the rest of this week and miss scrappin' as much as I used to. I hope you all have a good St Patrick's Day! I'm looking forward to the warmer weather coming this week!

A Blast From the Past

I made this LO for Scrappin-n-Chattin's Color Challenge. We had to do a LO using brown, blue, and green as the main color focus. I say this is A Blast From The Past, because it was my 9th birthday and my sister's 7th birthday. We had a party at McDonald's in Charleston, SC. The 3 picture backgrounds are from Basic Grey Pyrus 6x6 pad and the flower, heart, and journaling flower are also from Basic Grey Pyrus Collection. They are all from the goodies I received from Carol and they fit perfectly with this challenge! I had to include some birthday embellishments as well- the green balloon, the gift box, and the fun & games sticker on the birthday ribbon! I was off this past Monday and have been wanting to scrap so I made sure I made time! I went to the new Michael's here in The New Bern Mall last week and bought American Crafts Gel Pens which I used on the journaling! I'm excited that there's a Michael's in New Bern now and is in the mall not far from TJ Maxx!!

A Day At the Beach
