I'm entering this card in The Sisterhood of Crafters Beach Challenge. I used Unity Stamp Company to the beach background border stamp and Beach Girl sentiment on the front and colored in with Spectrum Noir alcohol markers. The inside extra stamped images are from Cowtown Creates Seaside Bay. I stamped the background border with My Favorite Things Extreme Black hybrid ink and the sentiment with Versa fine Black Ones ink. The oysters I stamped with Archival black ink and also included 3 sentiments from Seaside Bay, but didn't take pictures. I made this card for an O is for swap for a group on Facebook and the lady who will receive this card doesn't follow my blog. The paper and the enamel dots are from The Stamps of Life. The twine is Watermelon Sorbet from Trendy Twine, but is no longer available. I hope my swap partner enjoys this card as much as I enjoyed making it!

Salncltshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00274128726253628412noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8936970143850251888.post-22394423874930783032023-05-09T22:37:00.000-04:002023-05-09T22:37:30.435-04:00Happy Cinco de Mayo

I made this card on Friday or Cinco de Mayo using the taco fold-it from The Stamps of Life. I can't believe our week has come to an end, but nothing lasts forever they say! I almost forgot to type my post last night since I type them out the night before. I was watching a movie on Amazon Prime- Love, Sarah, and remembered I haven't typed my blog entry yet. Oops! I'm not crazy, I'm really not! I'm human and just caught myself. LOL! I decided to add a sentiment to the inside of this card. I used ...so glad you were born February 2016 Sentiment Kit by Lisa Arana. I used My Favorite Things Extreme Black hybrid ink pad for the cupcake image and Ranger Archival Jet Black ink pad on both sentiments. I'm going to give this to my nephew in a couple weeks for his 5th birthday. I colored in the cupcake with Spectrum Noir Duo Colour and TriBlend Markers and used Spectrum Noir Metallic Silver Ingot Marker to accent the middle icing layer. I forgot to mention that if you use Spectrum Noir Markers you have to use Art Liner pens on whatever image you use first before you color it. It helps with the blending and the lighting. I took a class with Academy of Colour and learned that. I need to practice more on the blending. The paper is from The Stamps of Life. I'm not sure what the color is called possibly blue jay? I'm bad at remembering the color of card stock from them. I used to be a club member, but since I'm unemployed I'm no longer a club member since I can't afford it. I have a lot of their product and will use it until I run out! The bling is from KSCRAFT Mixed Colors. I really have enjoyed this week with you all! This is the most I have used my blog in some time. I remember when blogging was more popular. I used to be in blog hops, but you don't see many of those anymore either. I've got to scrap some time today or at least make a Taco card to celebrate Cinco de Mayo! I will blog about it Saturday and pick my winners for $20 gift credit to Unity Stamp Company. I hope you all have a good weekend and a great International Scrapbooking Day tomorrow! I can't wait to do some scrappin' myself or at least start a layout and watch the Kentucky Derby. I won't be getting up at 5am to watch King Charles' coronation, but will watch it later if it is available. Please become a follower of my blog if you want to or just pop in occasionally since I don't usually blog everyday. Love, Sarah is a pretty good movie, I didn't appreciate the language in it. Take care.

Salncltshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00274128726253628412noreply@blogger.com10tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8936970143850251888.post-72523010840442801402023-05-04T07:54:00.000-04:002023-05-04T07:54:29.817-04:00Growing In Unity Day Four

Welcome back for Growing in Unity Day 4! May the Fourth be with you- my Star Wars plug for today! Haha! I used Catherine Girl for this card. I stamped the sentiment with Ranger Archival Jet Black ink pad and the image with My Favorite Things Extreme Black Hybrid ink pad. She is one of many Angie girls stamps by Angie Blom. I colored in Catherine with Spectrum Noir Duo Colour and TriBlend markers and used Spectrum Noir Glitter Vivid Pink and Spectrum Noir Metallic Silver Ingot markers on the hearts around her. The pink glitter kept spreading in with the sky blue background. Oh well, it will still be a great Thank You card to have ready. The bling is adhesive-backed seasonal sequins from Stampin' Up. Since I don't have the sentiment that comes with the stamp I found another one from Unity. I used Just a card to brighten your day from ...say it with love Unity Sentiment Kit 2020 by Lisa Arana. I used My Favorite Things Extreme Black ink to stamp the image and Ranger Archival Black ink to stamp the sentiment. The cardstock/card base is guava from The Stamps of Life. I colored in the stamped image with Spectrum Noir DuoColour Markers. The bling is from KSCRAFT Mixed Colors. I look forward to sharing with you all more of my favorite stamps from Unity. Please become a follower if you aren't already and be sure to come back tomorrow. I love new and old followers! Have a great Monday!

Salncltshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00274128726253628412noreply@blogger.com13tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8936970143850251888.post-62596722596702967532023-04-29T19:47:00.001-04:002023-04-29T20:00:25.458-04:00Retro Rubber Challenge #205

I made this card using the sketch above from Retro Rubber Challenge Blog. I was scrolling through Facebook and saw a post about it! The stamp set is from Craftin' Desert Diva's June 2018 Release. I used one of the stamps and a sentiment. They're no longer in business. I used Blue Belle ink from Close To My Heart on the sentiment and My Favorite Things Extreme Black ink on the ice cream cone. If you place an order with Katy on her CTMH website this weekend, you will be entered to win $48 CTMH cash. I used Spectrum Noir DuoColor markers to color in the stamped image. The patterned paper is from Close to My Heart Sugar Rush collection and it is no longer sold. The cardstock/card base is from Stampin' Up In Color 8.5 x11 paper pack. The 3 mint chip enamel dots are from The Stamps of Life. The cupcake brad is from a friend on Facebook for a swap. I stamped the sentiment and ice cream cone on Powdered Sugar paper from The Stamps of Life. I've never used the blue ink from CTMH, but it stamped pretty well.

Have a great weekend! Please become a follower if you don't follow me already and come back Monday to see what I'm sharing for Unity Stamp Company until Friday of next week. It's hard to believe it will be the first week of May! This year is flying by. You will have a chance to win $20 credit to Unity. I know everyone loves prizes! Take care. :)

Salncltshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00274128726253628412noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8936970143850251888.post-28288779621872651372023-01-11T20:53:00.002-05:002023-01-11T20:53:51.449-05:00Hello There

I made this card this afternoon to send to a penpal in CA. I made it for a challenge as well- #woodblockwednesday. I used two wooden blocks- the flower and the swirl- from Stampin'Up Delight Life and the sentiment- Hello Friend- is from Stampin'Up Wood Words stamp collection. I used My Favorite Things Extremely Black ink to stamp the flower and the swirl and colored them in with Spectrum Noir TriBlend Purple Blend and Pearl Blend Markers. I stamped the sentiment with Ranger Jet Black ink. The cardbase is from Stampin'Up In Colors cardstock. The floral paper & green paper is one sheet of 6x6 cardstock from The Stamps of Life trimmed to fit the card. I added pink Nuvo Stone Drops in the bottom right corner. I didn't add anything else so the stamps would be the main focus. Have a great day!
Salncltshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00274128726253628412noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8936970143850251888.post-42321244056367155042022-12-30T00:50:00.001-05:002022-12-30T07:53:16.039-05:00Favorites of 2022

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; I used BoBunny 12" Family Recipes Savory paper as the main patterned paper, Colorbok Mixed Media Designer Paper, Recollections My Story Paper Pad, DCWV just My Type Premium Stack, and another pad I lost the cover for as the other papers. The stickers/bling is from Carta Bella Summer Adhesive Brads. The alphabet stickers- Snicker doodles and the title There Are No Regrets In Life Just Lessons are from Reminisce Quote Book Die Cut stickers. The journaling and the buttons strip is on from the paper pad I lost the cover to. I made Snicker doodle Cookies from a box mix for a family gathering and we would have to boil water while I was making them. (Bacteria was found in the lines and somehow the city flushed it out.) Luckily, we were only under Boil Advisory for about 12 hours- overnight. That's why I included a picture of the sinks full of water. I ran to the bathroom to wash my hands off I don't know how many times. It was funny! I had fun doing this layout. Have a Merry Christmas! I may blog again before then. Please leave me comments about this layout. TFL! Have a great weekend! I would have posted the recipe for the cookies, but it was mostly a box mix.
Salncltshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00274128726253628412noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8936970143850251888.post-80411098999348412812022-11-19T00:57:00.002-05:002022-11-19T00:57:59.347-05:00Warm Wishes

I made this to send out for Christmas this year and as an entry in Coffee Loving Cardmakers Blog Hop. The stamp set I used is Close To My Heart D1306 Treasure Life and is most likely no longer for sale as I believe it is an old stamp set. I cut the gray strip and the sentiment mat out of my scraps pile and not sure what manufacturer it's from. The sequins are 2 sets- Fancy Pants and Sweet Water from Spiegel Mom Scraps and I glued them down with Tombow Aqua Mono Liquid Glue. I used AdTech Crafter's Tape Glue Runner and my Xyron 1.5" Create A Sticker Maker to adhere everything else. I wanted to color in the flowers and then realized there wasn't anything to color. The 2 patterned papers are from Heidi Swapp Sun Chaser Collection kit. The main page is the opposite side of Sweet Thing and the bigger side of the layout is Sunburst. I just flipped the sketch. The stickers are from a recent great outdoors tag swap with a group I'm with on Facebook. The pictures were taken downtown New Bern, where I live, by DoubleTree Hotel. I included a picture of the bottom of the totem to show that is made as a memorial for a woman who died in 2007. I personally don't know the woman, but thought the flowers around the Extraterrestrial Totem are very pretty. The sequins are from The Stamps of Life Hibiscus Blooms and I glued them down with Tombow Aqua Mono Liquid Glue. The title- Dream Big is from Reminsce Quote Book Die Cut Stickers. The photo mat is also cardstock from Stamps of Life. The swap is called Card with Stickers. I know the butterflies don't look like stickers, but when you run them through Xyron Create A Sticker like I did you have stickers! All of the butterflies even the vellum butterfly and big butterfly in the middle and the 2 squares of PP where sent to me for a layout challenge from Margaret Workman. I just used them on a card. I wanted to try something different! The sentiment- hello- is from The Stamps of Life wreath2stamp. The washi tape is from my stash. The bling is from LacePlaceByHolley. I stamped the sentiment with Ranger Archival Ink and glued the blue butterfly onto the vellum butterfly with Tombow Clear Mono Liquid Glue and also used it on the bling. The paper is also from The Stamps of Life. I mailed this out yesterday so it would be mailed on time. I used Pretty Little Studio Wildflowers Collection. I didn’t want to make the background too busy since the picture is kind of dark. I took it with no flash, but the sun was bright that afternoon. I decided to use a picture from camp. I’m glad I still have the original picture on my phone to zoom in to see who is actually in the photo! Lol. Crizma, pronounced like Charisma, is the one in pink. I need to get back to writing the girls next week. I have written 3 of them and need to write the other 3. I had 6 girls in my room. I wish I would have gotten to know the boys more, but they all stayed to themselves. The girls didn’t like boys and vice versa. Lol. I fussy cut the heart out of one of the papers in this collection and the border as well. The title and puffy sticker isn’t from the collection. The puffy sticker is from The Stamps of Life Hang in There collection. The title is from Reminsce Quote Book Kit. The sun flair button is from Pretty Little Studio. This collection doesn’t have embellishments with it so I improvised! The paper I used for the journaling is actually the back of the purple- Lilac Blooms and the main paper is called Honeycomb. I wrote From Left to Right: Macie, Mallory, Trinity, Lukas, & Crizma hanging on the monkey bars for part of a Photo Hunt during 2nd Intermediate Week at Roanoke Christian Camp. The photo hunt was like a scavenger hunt, but you take pictures instead of finding items. The strip at the bottom, where I stamped the date with a Amy Tangerine rotary stamp with Gina K Amalgam black ink, is also from Pretty Little Studio. I will be scrapping more today and add some more recent projects later so please come back. TFL and have a great day!

Salncltshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00274128726253628412noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8936970143850251888.post-47738037649294686132022-07-15T01:25:00.004-04:002022-07-15T09:41:10.863-04:00I'm Here For You

I made this card for a friend who just had a son die Wednesday at 17 of cardiac arrest due to asthma and went into a coma. He passed out at a friend's house Saturday morning and never woke up. A police officer came to my friend's house to let her know her son was in the hospital Saturday morning. He was given CPR and had brain damage from it. His organs began shutting down Monday and Tuesday they gave him a blood transfusion to help his organs so they could be donated. The plug was pulled at 10:37am Wednesday morning. He just turned 17 on July 6, a week before he died. I didn't mean to start this post out so morbid, but I wanted to share the reason I made this card. The stamp set- image and sentiments- are from There For Her from Unity Stamp Company. I stamped the image and sentiments with Ranger Archival black ink, actually the sentiments are on one stamp I just cut the main sentiment off the inside sentiment after I stamped it. I colored in the image and sentiments with ColorIn Watercolor Twist colored pencils and I used a Gelly Roll Star gel pen on the girl in the dress on the far right. The patterned paper is from Pretty Little Studio Wildflowers Honeycomb 12x12 paper that I trimmed down to fit on the front of the card. I found out about Pretty Little Studio from Jeanne . The bling and the card base is from The Stamps of Life. I tried to give a sunset effect with the background around the image. Sherry has had to be strong for her parents before they died and now for her children and grandkids still living. I can't imagine sending my child if I had one which I don't to a friend's house and not ever interacting with him again. Hug your loved ones daily and keep them close, because this proves you never know when this could happen. Have a great weekend! I did cut the strip off after I took the picture. I made it in a hurry to get it in a scrapbook group I’m in before midnight for a Rainbow Pride Month entry for June. I had to use either rainbow on the paper or in the pictures so I did both and included rainbow twine on the tag. Lol! The title, cloud, and the Smile tag are die cuts from Bella Blvd Squeeze the Day Collection. The journaling tag is from the same set as the background paper- Heidi Swapp Sun Chaser. I wrote on the tag: Dinosaur Egg Hunt at BG’s Birthday Party 5-21-22. Emily, his mom, (my sister) was showing him the price eggs- all included huge dinosaurs. He & Anna Beth were having fun after the hop was over.
I ran out of room on the tag, but it had just stopped raining is why BG’s hair was wet. They had the hunt in the rain and since there was only 3 kids at the party they had help hunting and found most of them. BG found a few in his play area a few days later. TFL and have a great weekend!

Salncltshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00274128726253628412noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8936970143850251888.post-82690094946542995272022-06-21T11:53:00.002-04:002022-06-21T11:53:31.970-04:00Make Today Count and Toucan

I made this layout for a Selfie Layout in Scrappin' 'n' Chattin', a scrapbook group I'm a part of anyone is welcome to join if you scrap or make cards. The stamp set is from The Stamps Of Life camper2stamp set and dies to match. I colored in the camper, flamingo, and camp fire with Spectrum Noir triblend markers. The reason the challenge is called C is for is because the image/sentiment have to start with C. The patterned paper is from Michaels Sparkleberry Ink double-sided paper pad. I believe the card base is from Stampin'Up In Color 8 1/2 x 11 paper collection and the enamel dots are also from The Stamps of Life. This card took forever to make, because I stopped to do laundry, talked on the phone, and couldn't decide on paper. I know my swap partner in the UK will love this card! TFL and have a great day!
Salncltshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00274128726253628412noreply@blogger.com0
