2021 in Review

I made more cards this year. I may have done one scrapbook layout, but I can't find a picture of it. The snowman card was a kit that was sent to me and I put it together how I wanted it. The first 2 pictures was an online Stampin' Up class that I put my own spin on.

Happy New Year and here's to a great 2022!

Altenew Challenge

I haven't used this Altenew stamp set until today- Blooming Mandalas. I stamped it with Gina K Designs Amalgam ink and colored it in with various Stamp and Write markers and Copics. The sentiment is also part of the set and stamped with the same ink. I usually use patterned paper on my cards behind my stamps, but I wanted this semi-mandala image to stand out. I popped up the sentiment with 2 Stampin' Up dimensionals. I used Colorbok 8.5 x 11 Bright Smooth Cardstock that I trimmed down to A2 card size for the card base. It's basically half a sheet of cardstock folded in half.  I may send this to a friend or I may keep it in my stash for later. The sequins are from The Stamps of Life Sequins And More 2 set.

Growing In Unity Day Five

Welcome back to Day 5 and my last day of Growing in Unity! I have appreciated all the comments this week. I decided to make another birthday card. I used Happy Birthday Itty Bitty by Joslyn Nielson and stamped it with Gina K Designs Amalgam Ink on white paper. I colored in the image with Monte Marte Dual Tip Markers- they are very similar to Copics. The patterned paper is from Recollections Home Basics 6 x 6 inch Paper Pad that I trimmed down to fit the card. The card base is from Colorbok Brilliant 8.5 x 11 Smooth Cardstock trimmed down to A2 card size. The enamel dots are from Stamps of Life. I adhered the patterned paper and the stamped image down with my Teresa Collins Xyron mega runner. That's all I have to share. Have a great weekend!

Growing in Unity Day Four

Welcome back to Day 4 of my Growing in Unity week! I didn't want to add paper behind the beach scene so it would stand out more. This stamp set is called ...always from the heart by Phyllis Harris. I stamped the sentiment and the beach scene with Gina K Amalgam ink. I colored the beach scene with Marvy ColorIn Watercolor Twist colored pencils. I tried to blend the colors to make the sky look sunset and the water look real. The card base is from DCWV A2 brights Printed Textured Cards. I ran the sentiment through my Xyron 150 Create-A-Sticker Maker to attach it to the card. I used my Teresa Collins Xyron mega runner to attach the beach scene to the card. The purple enamel dots are from my stash. I colored the 2 girls thinking of me and a best friend of mine. We didn't know each other as kids, but are forever friends. I'm the one on the right. I may mail this card to her. That's all I have to share today. Please come back tomorrow to see what I have to share on my last day. Have a great day!

Growing In Unity Day Three

Welcome back to Day 3 of my Growing in Unity week!

I have a few birthdays coming up this summer so I thought I would get a head start. I used July Unity Sentiment Kit 2017 ...hugs, kisses, & birthday wishes by Lisa Arana. I stamped it with Gina K Designs Amalgam ink onto white paper along with the sentiment and the sentiment inside. I colored in the owl and balloons stamped image with Marvy ColorIn Watercolor Twist colored pencils and adhered it down with my Teresa Collins Xyron MegaRunner. The card base is from DCWV A2 Brights Printed Textured Cards. The patterned paper is from Recollections Home Basics 6 x 6 inch Paper Pad that I trimmed down to fit the card. I also used my MegaRunner to attach it to the card. I used my Xyron 150 Create-A-Sticker Maker to attach the Happy Birthday sentiment and the sentiment inside. The enamel dots are from The Stamps of Life.

A picture of the inside sentiment. I will most likely give this card to my sister in July. Her favorite color is pink. That's all I have to share today. Please come back tomorrow to see what I have to share.

Growing In Unity Day Two

Welcome back to Day 2 of my Growing In Unity week!

I made another card. I used Colorbok Bright Brilliant 8.5 x 11 in Smooth Cardstock trimmed down to A2 card size as the card base. The background paper is from American Crafts Sparkleberry Ink Double-Sided Paper Pad that I trimmed down to fit the front of the card and adhered it with Teresa Collins Xyron Mega Runner. I chose Not Be Perfect Itty Bitty by Angie Boom and stamped it with Gina K Designs Amalgam Ink. I colored it in with Marvy  ColorIn Watercolor Twist colored pencils and used the Mega Runner again to adhere it to the card. The butterfly button was given to me by a friend in a recent button swap. I glued it down with Tombow Aqua Mono Liquid Glue. The sequins are from a set from Design Creative Bling that's no longer in business. I glued them down with Tombow glue, also.  I decided to add the other stamp/sentiment inside as shown below. I used the same Gina K ink and used my Xyron 1.5 Create-A-Sticker maker to adhere it.

That's it for today.  Please come back tomorrow to see what I have to share. I will choose 2 winners at the end of the week to win a prize from Unity. Have a great day!
