I got the idea to redo this flip flops on Pinterest and decided to change it up a little! I bought a pair of Creatology flip flops and one hot pink bandanna from Michaels and spent $4 on both! I have to cut the excess off the back and glue the knots down, but they're basically done! I'm giving them to my sister for her bday on July 4! I'm going to go back in a few weeks and pick out a pair for myself and a bandanna from their collection to make a pair for me!! They're very easy to do, you just cut off the plastic straps and add the bandanna or whatever type of fabric you'd like. Michaels suggested using a tank top, but their tank tops are $9! I was on a budget of a $10 gift card! I did buy a Xyron Create A Sticker refill cartridge for myself!
My birthday was yesterday, June 27, and this is my cake before it was cut! Ice cream-chocolate & vanilla with chocolate chips with yellow cake from Harris Teeter! Harris Teeter is a local upscale grocery store compared to Food Lion or Piggly Wiggly. They have more worldly foods and sometimes have good deals compared to the others! The cake is yummy! No, I'm not 10, lol, it's 3 & 7 for 37! It's already half gone! :) I hope you all have a great weekend! TFL!

Life Is A Picnic
I then attached them to Bazzill Basics Paper (BBP) Classic Green. The ribbon is Seasons Bobbin Ribbon "Life is a Picnic" & I attached the ribbon with Martha Stewart Crafts Brads. I've had the ribbon for awhile and have been wanting to use it and this watermelon paper fits well with it! The "Happy Birthday" sticker is Three Bugs in a Rug Celebrate Stickers.
The balloon paper is Happy Day, as is the "Life's Short, Eat Cake" and journaling block on the opposite side of the card. The cake sticker is Karen Foster Design Blow Out the Candles Cardstock Stickers. I don't know who I will give this card to, but I have another card ready when needed! :) I may add some Stickles around the flip flops before I give it away. Any suggestions? I'm entering this card in Party Time Tuesdays Anything Goes Challenge. Please join me at http://partytimetuesdays.blogspot.com/! TFL and have a great day!

Baking & Another Birthday Card
These muffins are Cinnamon Yorkshire Pudding. Laura gave me this Party in a Cup set for Christmas and I hadn't used it yet. I wanted to bake something yesterday afternoon and this recipe is the only recipe in the book that I had all the ingredients for! The kit includes a recipe book and the 6 silicone cups. I actually had enough batter to make 8! I took 2 out and reused those cups. There's only 1 left of the 8! LOL! It's just cinnamon, flour, eggs, milk, and butter! I'll give the recipe to anyone that wants it, I guess you could make it in regular muffin pans with the paper liners. I want to try a few more recipes in the book! I like the silicone cups because the muffins don't stick as bad as they would have on the paper liners! Now, on to my card!
The paper is My Mind's Eye Graceful Double Sided PP; the sentiment is a Ditto "Happy Birthday to You" stamp that I stamped on typing paper and then attached it to my card & colored it with American Crafts Candy Shoppe Purple & Green Gel Pens and accented it with Clear Star Gelly Roll Pen; I also used a green Pinque Peacock Fabric Button; a Pinque Peacock Pink Angel Stick Pin; Pinque Peacock Purple Flower bundle; and some baker's twine.
I had to cover the back of the fabric button with this banner from Happy Day 6x6 paper pad- my all time favorite birthday card paper! :) I'm going to save this card to give to someone in the future. I've been wanting to try the angel stick pins. After hopping with the Pinque Peacock/Sweet Stamp Shop cross challenge blog I decided to make a card myself! :) TFL and have a great weekend!

Happy Birthday!
the paper is actually Storyteller's Club All About Dad, but since it's red, white, and blue it goes well with the cupcake :) I won the cupcake digi from Fresh Brewed Designs (http://freshbreweddesigns.blogspot.com/) and I colored it with American Crafts Basic Red & Candy Shoppe Blue pens and accented it with my Gelly Roll Clear Star pen and added some blue bling from my stash! I also drew stars on the liner with my American Crafts Basic Red pen. The "Happy Birthday to You!" banner is Simple Stories Happy Day 6x6 Paper Pad. The twine is from Heather Lynn when I won something from a blog hop from her.
The paper is double sided so I decided to not add anything to the back side for the inside spread. The printed sparkles banner is today's freebie from PPbN Designs (http://www.ppbndesigns.com/). The tag on the opposite side comes with the paper kit and the ribbon is Bobbin Ribbon. I'll wait until closer to July 4th to write on the tag. I'm giving it to my sister and, yes, she's a 4th of July baby! She's just 2 years younger than me.

I have decided to use this stamp "I'm a Crafty Girl" as my card signature. I got too much ink on the stamp so I decided to write the year, 2013, on the line. It's also from Fresh Brewed Designs that I won from a blog hop and I have the entire Crafty Girl set that I will use eventually! This is the first card I have used baker's twine on so it's going to take time for me to get used to it! I had to punch a hole in the fold of the card to wrap it around. That's why you see it on the inside as well! I stuck with the red, white, and blue theme on the twine as well! This is my first project without any stickers! I love using them sometimes too much! I want to try to get into stamping more and that's going to take practice! Stamping is messy, but that's part of crafting! TFL and have a great Father's Day weekend! :)

True Love
This is my second layout of my cousin's wedding. This is the park entrance and how it was decorated for the wedding. The paper is Recollections Blue Floral, the corner buttons are Brides Self Adhesive Buttons from the editors of Brides Magazine that I bought from TJ Maxx (TJM), the title sticker "True Love" is Sticko Black Tie Phrases, the sentiment is DCWV Scrapbook Kit in a Stack Love & Wedding, the bling on the bottom pic is from my stash, the journaling square is from a booklet from my stash that I have lost the cover for that I also bought from TJM, and the lovely yellow/blue flowers are Pinque Peacock felt poppers that I won from the first release blog hop. I ran out of my Xyron Create a Sticker adhesive when I went to add the sentiment so I had to use Elmer's Disappearing Purple Glue stick! I'll be buying a refill soon! I had to write in my journaling since I ran out of adhesive it states that the pictures are of the "park entrance & pictures of Tim & Leia from birth until now. Program fans & cross cards were on the table below the pictures." I will make another layout of the unity cross they used and one of the cross cards! I'm drawing my layouts out since I took so many pictures! The reception is when I really got carried away! I may have to do a mini-album for the reception, lol! I helped decorate for the reception!
close-up of the title and the Pinque Peacock felt poppers
close-up of the sentiment: "Love is always bestowed as a gift- freely, willingly and without expectation. We don't love to be loved; We love to love.- Leo Buscaglia." I need to get to bed soon 7:30 is gonna come early. Tomorrow is our annual get together at my grandmama's with our family and my stepgrandfather's family. It's gonna be a full house! Have a great weekend! TFL!

Bruton Wedding
These are some of the pics from my cousin's-Leia's-wedding- May 25 at Centennial Park in Salisbury, NC. My aunt made fans with the programs and added popsicle sticks and ribbon. I decided to use one on each page as the focal point. The main patterned paper is K& Company Susan Winget, the ribbon is American Crafts Premium Ribbon, the photo mats are K& Company Urban Rhapsody, the "Bruton" letter stickers are DCWV Scrapbook Kit in a Stack Love & Wedding, the sunflower stickers are Sticko Vellum Sunflowers, and the "Wedding" sticker is Sticko Black Tie Phrases. Her colors were yellow and turquoise and the flowers that she did use were sunflowers. Her bouquet was made of brooches from her grandmothers. I'll put that pic on another layout! I took lots!! In the picture in the top left corner of the first page is Jonathan- Leia's brother- seating Grandmama & Mr. Raffael Farrow. The other 2 pictures are Katie & Mary Bruton (left to right), they're Tim's sisters and stood on his side is why they are dressed in black. Katie made their jewelry, I didn't get a close-up of the necklaces and earrings, but they were glasses with mustaches underneath and had yellow and turquoise beads coming off the glasses. They thought of themselves as "groomsmen" since they stood on his side. Leia & Tim wanted their siblings on each respective side. The pictures on the second page (counter-clockwise) are Jonathan DeWald, Mr. Chris & Aino Jackson walking Leia down the aisle, Mr. & Mrs. Tim Bruton as she takes her bouquet back, and Erin & Kylee Brickhouse. Tim's son, Seth, was his best man. He's in the bottom right pic. Jonathan was the only usher. It was a very small wedding and everyone was told to sit where they wanted except for a few seats up front were reserved. Erin was the matron of honor and Kylee was the flower girl. I wish I had a better picture of her dress! My aunt, Aino, made her dress and had 2 little sunflowers at the waist of her dress and it was yellow gingham print! I can't wait to scrap the rest of the pics! I have a few more printed and will scrap those later this week. I'm battling a cold right now and hope it goes away soon! I'm going to bed soon because I have to work tomorrow afternoon. It's basically a stuffy, runny nose with some sneezing. I stay drowsy with it so I'm going to try to get some rest. TFL!

Make A Wish
I made this layout for a Glitter/Sparkle Challenge with Fresh Brewed Designs & used their digi freebie for the challenge- Angel Cake Gumball. I couldn't make it smaller, so I decided to make it the main focus of my layout! I colored it with American Design pens first and then went over it with Stickles. I used too much Stickles that the design won't stay matted to my paper! That's why it's layered so much! I included the following pictures to show all the sparkle and elements of my layout if you can't see them in the first picture!
This is the journaling sticker, "Happiness is a perfume you cannot pour on others without getting a few drops on yourself.-Ralph Waldo Emerson" It's from Best Occasions Mixed Media Pack and I was thinking how children are so happy that you can't help but be happy when you see them!
I chose "Make A Wish" from Momenta ATD Super Sticker Pack, because you never know which gumball you are gonna get out of the gumball machine until it comes out!
I took a close up pic of the gumballs to show the sparkle from the Stickles I used!
The white streaks in the angel's hair and on her face/arms/wings is Stardust Stickles! I thought it would fit since she's an angel! I also used it to outline her dress. The blue polka dotted paper is Tim Holtz Idea-ology Vintage Shabby. The main paper is Fiskars Cloud 9 Design Sparkle Celebration Dots Cinnamon Stick. I even used Cinnamon Stickles on a few of the gumballs! The ribbon across the top is American Crafts. TFL! Have a good weekend! :)
