Friends Forever
I made this LO using the above sketch for SNC's 24 Hr Challenge last night. Well it ends tonight at 6. Sue chose Colorbok Bright Ideas for me and the above sketch was Sketch 1 out of 3. The pink flower and the paper are Colorbok Bright Ideas; the punchout border strips are Martha Stewart Crafts Punchouts; the flower under the picture is American Crafts; the little star/teddy bear punchouts are part of the scraps from the border strips; and the hidden journaling tag/holder, Stickles, and flowers that stand out at top right are all Tim Holtz. The title, Friends Forever, is part of some rub-ons that I bought from Walmart, I can't remember the collection off the top of my head. The journaling on the envelope of the tag states that it is "Layla's 6th Birthday Party at Gables Run Equestrian Center" and the journaling on the tag inside states that the picture is of "Doug, Layla, and Jenna getting ready to take a ride on the pony cart with Peanut.(the pony)." All the Tim Holtz items were given to me in a $20 scrap sale from Ruby's daughter, Niki. I work with Ruby at TJ Maxx and Niki is trying to sell all off her scrap stuff! I forgot the pic mat is Basic Grey/Life of the Party 6x6 that I cut just a small strip off maybe half an inch. I will be using more of my new scrap stuff soon, she really hooked me up with a lot of Tim Holtz paper, K&Company paper, Stickles, chipboard mini albums, and a lot of little things. I sent her a pic of my LO and she loved it! TFL! Have a great weekend! :)

March Sketch Challenge
I made this LO for Scrappin-n-Chattin's (SNC) March Sketch Challenge using the above sketch. Since the pics were too big, I didn't have room for many embellishments. I did turn the two pics on the left the same way as in the sketch and then added the title in the middle & the stars to make up for the squiggly line in the sketch. The paper is Recollections Doodle Black Equilibrium; the title- "You're A Star!", the stars, & the pic mat behind the top left pic and the bottom right pic are all Basic Grey Oliver; the other 2 pic mats are Colorbok Colored Textured Paper: and the journaling states that "All of these pics were taken with Daddy & Tammy at the beach. Tyler is holding Daddy's finger in the top left pic." These are the pics I mentioned in my last blog post that I sent off to Snapfish! I love his expressions in these pics! I'm not sure what baby food is all around his mouth, but the pic is still cute! I'm participating in a 24hr Challenge with SNC again tomorrow night and can't wait! I will post the pic of my LO and sketch tomorrow night after I finish! TFL!

Easter Egg Card
I made this card for Laura for Easter and entered it in Scrappin-n-Chattin's Shape Card Challenge for this month. The paper is Basic Grey Sweet Threads Lacy Organic double-sided paper, the flowers are Sticko Lucy Lu (from Valentine's Day, I'm trying to slowly use them up), the yellow & blue ribbons are American Crafts Confetti and the red striped ribbon is Bobbin Ribbon, the Happy Easter sticker is from Target K&Company maybe, and the flower is American Crafts from TJ Maxx. I traced an oval dish from the kitchen twice and then cut it out. It is the neatest card I have made yet!
Here is the final copy of Layla's 6th Birthday Party SMASH book entry complete with a picture! I got my pics from Snapfish today and am in the process of starting a layout of Tyler! I'll post it later tonight. I may use Snapfish from now on for my pics! They're some good quality pics!! I've been up since 7:30 this morning to make sure the guys working on the a/c could get in and fix our air/heat pump. I watched TV, made the card, took almost a 2 hr nap, and caught up with an old friend on FB. I'm looking forward to watching American Idol and One Tree Hill tonight! TFL!

Layla's 6th Birthday/Pony Party SMASH Book Entry
I helped Doug & Laura with Layla's Pony Party this past Saturday. Laura wasn't there, but I still helped her by being there! I led Puddin', Layla's pony, from her pasture and then brushed her down to get her ready for her decorations for the party! I also decorated Peanut's pony cart! Pictures are on the way being developed by SnapFish!! I should have them by Thursday, I hope! The round "Happy Birthday Layla" horse head at the top was one of many party favors. I'm going to put a pic of Layla on the pink square of birthday paper- a wanted sign they had made but forgot to post them. They're decorations were amazing!! They had place mats made for all the children that were too attend the party on a table, but they never all sat there. They were too excited to ride the ponies and jump in the bounce house! It sprinkled some off and on, but no one complained because of the excitement of being at the birthday party!! The journaling states that "Jenna, Grace, Lillie, Jordan, Bella, Ceci, Bailey, Emma, Mrs. Tina, Mrs. Jennifer, Mrs. Deborah, Gaga, Granny (Kim's parents), Mr. Larry, Mrs. Frances, Chuck, Joanna, Doug, Darby, Amber, John, & Kim all made Layla's party a big hit! There was a big horse bounce house, along with 3 horses for the kids to ride- Puddin', Tucker, & Peanut. Each horse was decorated for the party as well as the pony cart! I let Puddin' from her pasture, brushed her, & decorated the pony cart!" I added the sentiment, "Wherever you go, no matter what the weather, always bring your own sunshine. Anthony J. D'Angelo", because Layla is always smiling even if it is raining or sprinkling!! I can't wait to scrap the pics when I get them back! I'm also getting a few baby pics of Tyler developed that I never got printed copies of, but since I have them on my computer I could upload them to SnapFish!! TFL!

March MLC
I made this LO following the above sketch and recipe for Scrappin-n-Chattin's March Monthly Layout Contest. As you can tell, I flipped the sketch. The stripes are behind the top pic of 55. The animal is my cat, 55. I used Tim Holtz Stickles Gold and an American Crafts Black ink pen for my doodling. There's also doodling on the paper already at the bottom. The face on "Santa's Little Helper" is coral, the journaling text is coral, and the ribbon on the present is coral. The journaling states that "55 loves to mess with the tree and he just happened to be doing good for a split second laying by the presents! He was probably worn out from being chased all over the living room and resting up to chase after paper & bows! I love how his eyes and the picture are glowing from the flash and the presents!" Both pictures were taken this past Christmas 2011. The paper is Recollections Bright and Jolly, as are the little blocks on the side & bottom; the red dotted paper is Cloud 9 Design Sparkle Celebration Dots Cinnamon Stick (from a Colorbok collection from Big Lots); the green strip is Martha Stewart Punch Pad; I used Stickles Red, Green, Crystal, Clear, & Gold on the trees (love me some Stickles :-) ); both pic mats are K&Company Christmas; the bottom left gift is actually from a birthday sticker collection, as are the stars (don't remember manufacturer); and the chipboard gift is Basic Grey/Life of the Party. I'm going to post another entry about the pony party I helped out with today and made a SMASH book entry tomorrow night. It's getting late and I need to get to bed soon. TFL! :)

Family Ties
I originally made this LO using the sketch from Stuck On You Sketches above, but missed the submission deadline. I decided to add the fabric "sun" for a fabric challenge with Scrappin-n-Chattin. The paper is Colorbok Spring Morning as well as the circle mat. The pic mat of the big picture, strip, and mat for pic of Tyler and Landen are all Martha Stewart punch out strips. The butterfly ribbon is American Crafts Spring. The chipboard flower is Momenta A Family Affair Collection. The title- "Family Ties"- is Creative Imaginations. The journaling tag is Colorbok Spring Punch outs & Stickers. The paper flower is from TJ Maxx, I don't remember the collection as I don't have all the necessary labels in front of me! LOL! The journaling states that "We are family! I've got all my brothers & sisters with me! :)" We're not all related, but are family one way or another! The main picture is of Haylee, Dustin, Emily, and I from 2001. I need a recent pic of Haylee! LOL! She's a senior this year believe it or not!! The little pics are of Emily after a glamour makeover at church and Tyler pulling Landen in the wagon. Landen is my cousin, Erica's oldest child. The fabric "sun" was a last minute add when I saw I missed the deadline! I used Stickles Crystal on it to give it a little pizzazz! I originally wanted to title this LO one of the words from the circle mat, but Family Ties fits! We're all tied together by a parent not necessarily by blood! I'll look for the name of the paper flower later & post in comments. I need to get to bed. I have a busy day tomorrow- hair cut in the morning, computer/projection meeting at 1, and then work from 6-10. I also have to study for my Sunday School lesson tomorrow afternoon! TFL and Happy St Patrick's Day!! Don't forget to wear green!! :)

It's Spring & SMASH entry of Gables Run
I made this LO for Scrappin-n-Chattin's Scene challenge for this month. We were to include a picture of a scene in our LO. I chose my church's playground! The paper/pic mat is Me & My Big Ideas Sunshine, the ribbon is American Crafts Spring Ribbon, "It's Spring" is Basic Occasions Seasons Pack, Fun Times Ahead ticket is My Little Shoebox- I wrote "Broad Creek Christian Church playground", the Winnie Pooh sticker is Hallmark stickers, the little stickers are Sticko Lucy Lu, the flower is from my stash, the sentiment- "It's love that makes the world go round" is Creative Imginations, and the butterfly/flower square is also Basic Occasions Seasons Pack. I bought the MAMBI Sunshine Specialty pad from Michaels on clearance for $7.99 this past week and really wanted to scrap with it, so I did Thursday night while watching American Idol! I look forward to using more of this pad since it looks like I'll be going to the beach more this summer with Doug & Laura!
I made this entry Thursday afternoon. I was in a scrapping mood Thursday! :) The journaling block states that "I learned how to would love to learn how to: helped clean 16 stalls & learned to overlook smell, led Bella & Pirate from pasture to their stalls in the barn, drove UTB about 5ft from stall to stall to put dung in trailer connected to it, rode UTB with Laura in the woods to dump the dung & almost got stuck in the mud, got a sunburn on my back while watching Laura's riding lesson 2-29-12." The pics are inside of the barn. The pic on the right page is of "Bella waiting to be brushed and prepped for riding lesson." The journaling on the left page tells that "I had never been in a horse barn, so I decided to take pics. This is before the stalls were cleaned! Doug & Laura McGinnis work/live on Gables Run Equesterian Center. Laura takes riding lessons on Pirate & has a pony, Peanut. She also works at Lynnaire Kennels. Laura & I have become good friends. She asked me to watch her riding lesson & I ended up helping her clean stalls & spending most of the day with her. It will be a Leap Day I will never forget!" I was gonna tell of my concert highlights, too, but I'm tired and need to get to bed before I lose an hr of sleep! lol I will post about it soon! I need to get the pics developed that I took- 43 total! Well the ones on my cell phone I can't develop, but will figure out how to upload them to FB at least! TFL!

Lucky Milestones
I made this LO for Scrappin-n-Chattin's Lucky Challenge for this month. We were to use the words "Luck" or "Lucky" in the title in honor of St Patrick's Day! I entitled it Lucky Milestones, because Pirate is just learning how to jump and I had a new experience at Gables Run Equestrian Center with Laura & Pirate! I decided to use All About Boys Stack Pirate paper since Laura's horse's name is Pirate! Then I remembered I have horse paper in my 8x8 All About Boys Stack so I used that for the picture mats! I used the subtitle, "A Day in the Life", because it was a day in Laura's life that I experienced! :) I also included a Sticko horse sticker and arrow brads from the journaling to each pic. The journaling tells about each pic- "Laura on Pirate getting ready for her riding lesson (top right pic)", "Pirate had just jumped (middle pic)", and "Laura is twitching the horse while Sarah trims him (bottom pic)." I was using their Nikon camera as well as mine, so I wasn't as good keeping up with the jumps on my camera! LOL! I have several more pics to scrap and may save some for a mini-album for Laura! I posted the pic on FB and she hasn't seen it yet that I know of. I can't reach her on her cell. She didn't have minutes earlier and just tried texting her and it finally went through! I can't wait to hear her comments! :) I had an eyeopening experience that day and look forward to going back and helping more! I decided to leave the word, "Pirate" on the top pic mat since the horse's name is Pirate. The ranch is kinda away from civilization, but is fun & I just have to learn to get used to the dung smell! She has mentioned about having me over for a horse movie sleepover so that should be fun! We have a lot of similarities and are learning more as we are around each other more! :) We are supposed to go back to Accidental Artist tomorrow afternoon. TFL & have a good day!! :)

It's All About Family, Finished Product of Accidental Artist SMASH book entry, & Stamps from Blog Candy Prize :)
I made this LO for Scrappin-n-Chattin's March 24 Hr Challenge following the sketch above. I used All About Boys Stack on everything except the journaling block, embellishments, and title. The journaling block and embellishments blocks are Storyteller's Club You Are My Sunshine, "It's All About Family" is Creative Imaginations, and the journaling states that "Daddy, Tammy, & Tyler came to visit Thanksgiving 2010 & these pics were all taken in a 2 day period. The first pic is of Daddy, with Emily, Tyler, and me. The second pic is of Tyler in a Santa hat. The third pic is of Tammy & Tyler making pilgrim hat cookies." Tyler's shirt has "I love candy, toys- both crossed out- Mommy" on it! :) He is definitely a Mama's boy! He deserves to be since he is her miracle baby!! :)
I finally got the pic developed of my Cape Hatteras lighthouse plate today & got some others developed that I'm going to scrap this week of my experience on Gables Run Equesterian Center with Laura!! I found some horsey stickers, but no paper to match! Oh, well! I'll survive without it! Even Laura can't find horsey paper anywhere here in New Bern. Maybe Michaels?! Keeping my fingers crossed!
I received these 2 stamps for participating in a Valentine's Helping Kids with Cancer Blog Hop from Paula Driver in the mail today! I can't wait to use them even though Valentine's Day is long gone! :) Have a great Sunday! I'm off to participate in another blog hop that Paula is in! You are welcome to join me at the beginning: http://www.facebook.com/l.php?u=http%3A%2F%2Fmissdjones.blogspot.com%2F&h=8AQEyLTOm !!
