I made this card for a friend who just had a son die Wednesday at 17 of cardiac arrest due to asthma and went into a coma. He passed out at a friend's house Saturday morning and never woke up. A police officer came to my friend's house to let her know her son was in the hospital Saturday morning. He was given CPR and had brain damage from it. His organs began shutting down Monday and Tuesday they gave him a blood transfusion to help his organs so they could be donated. The plug was pulled at 10:37am Wednesday morning. He just turned 17 on July 6, a week before he died. I didn't mean to start this post out so morbid, but I wanted to share the reason I made this card. The stamp set- image and sentiments- are from There For Her from Unity Stamp Company. I stamped the image and sentiments with Ranger Archival black ink, actually the sentiments are on one stamp I just cut the main sentiment off the inside sentiment after I stamped it. I colored in the image and sentiments with ColorIn Watercolor Twist colored pencils and I used a Gelly Roll Star gel pen on the girl in the dress on the far right. The patterned paper is from Pretty Little Studio Wildflowers Honeycomb 12x12 paper that I trimmed down to fit on the front of the card. I found out about Pretty Little Studio from Jeanne . The bling and the card base is from The Stamps of Life. I tried to give a sunset effect with the background around the image. Sherry has had to be strong for her parents before they died and now for her children and grandkids still living. I can't imagine sending my child if I had one which I don't to a friend's house and not ever interacting with him again. Hug your loved ones daily and keep them close, because this proves you never know when this could happen. Have a great weekend! TFL!

The black strips is from a12x12 pad in my stash. The banner stickers on the sides and the middle are from Echo Park Paper Company Magical Adventure Element Stickers. The title block- It's Good to See You- isn't the giraffe cute, lol, is from Reminisce Quote Book Kit. The sequins in the bottom corners are Smoothie Mix from SpiegelMomScraps. I typed the journaling on my computer- Emily, Mama, and Anna Beth help BG open his gifts. The water table, sand, flash light, and Paw Patrol bag was from me, Mama, and Mr. Ray. Carolina Hurricanes hat from Dustin. TFL and have a great weekend!

Best Day Ever
I made this layout late last night. I did cut the strip off after I took the picture. I made it in a hurry to get it in a scrapbook group I’m in before midnight for a Rainbow Pride Month entry for June. I had to use either rainbow on the paper or in the pictures so I did both and included rainbow twine on the tag. Lol! The title, cloud, and the Smile tag are die cuts from Bella Blvd Squeeze the Day Collection. The journaling tag is from the same set as the background paper- Heidi Swapp Sun Chaser. I wrote on the tag: Dinosaur Egg Hunt at BG’s Birthday Party 5-21-22. Emily, his mom, (my sister) was showing him the price eggs- all included huge dinosaurs. He & Anna Beth were having fun after the hop was over.
I ran out of room on the tag, but it had just stopped raining is why BG’s hair was wet. They had the hunt in the rain and since there was only 3 kids at the party they had help hunting and found most of them. BG found a few in his play area a few days later. TFL and have a great weekend!
