These Are the Moments We Live For

You can make any type of project for this challenge (a card, a layout, a 3D item, etc.) but you must explain in your post or description what inspired you :) For example.. it could be..

-green/grey/white pop and pop of auburn color palette

-engagement/wedding theme (she's holding a ring)

-project featuring a couple

-include a froggie (leap!)

-use a movie theme

-Irish theme (the movie is set in Ireland!)

I made this LO following the above requirements for TPV. I also used this for Scrappin-n-Chattin's Flag Challenge. I used the green/grey/white pop & a pop of auburn color pallette, my grandparents as the couple featured, and included a frog on the right of the pic! The sentiment and the frog inspired me. The sentiment states that "Nobody can do for little children what grandparents do. Grandparents sort of sprinkle stardust over the lives of little children"- Alex Haley. I used my favorite Gel Roller pen again on the frog and the words "Your wish will come true" (under the flags on the left side of the LO)! I used Studio G for the pic mat & sentiment mat. The gray behind the top part of the sentiment & the date block is Colorbox Textures. (I just realized you can't see the date block, but it is in the bottom right corner of the LO.) I was also inspired by the glow behind the couple in the pic of Leap Year, too, and went with that for the sentiment and my star pen! The title, journaling, and birds are Colorbok Family. The title is "These are the moments we live for" and the journaling states, "Grandmama always loved playing records on her record player. Especially John Denver & The Muppets! She could talk like Kermit the Frog! As you can see in the pictures behind them, they love all their grandchildren & family!" I was referring to the record player memories from when I was younger. Tyler never experienced that, but is in love with both grandparents! I made the flags from the flower paper and glued them on the toothpicks and then glued them down to the LO. The date the pic was taken is November 26, 2010.
My next blog post is probably gonna be about my Cape Hatteras Lighthouse plaque that I finally finished today! It will be ready for me to take home on Saturday!! :) TFL!
