Freshly Made Sketches 534

I made this card following the sketch above from Freshly Made Sketches. The cardbase is from The Stamps of Life, the stamp set is ...hugs, kisses, & birthday wishes July Unity Sentiment Kit 2017 from Unity Stamp Company, the paper mat under the sentiment as well as the bling and paper the image is stamped on is also from The Stamps of Life. I used Archival jet black ink to stamp the image and sentiment. I colored in the image with mostly Monte Marte markers and 2 Stampin' Write markers- Magenta Madness and Cinnamon Crumble from Stampin'Up. I'm using this card for a graduation instead of a birthday a friend's son just graduated from Ohio State University. I colored the balloons in colors for OSU and he likes the color green, and he likes Michigan Wolverines basketball.  I also tried to make it simple like the sketch and simple since it's for a guy. I also made another card today, but I will share that one later. Happy Cinco de Mayo! TFL!

April 24 Hour Challenge

I made the following layout using the sketch above for a 24 Hour Challenge with a private scrapbook group I'm in, Scrappin' 'n Chattin', meaning I had 24 hours to complete the layout based on the sketch. My partner chose this sketch for me and Close To My Heart Blossom collection. I decided to rotate the sketch vertically since my picture is vertical. Like I said, I used CTMH Blossom Collection for the main background of the layout and the layered pieces. I'm not sure on the measurements on the strips/layers on the sketch, but I did measure as I cut each piece. The tags are from my stash K& Company, but I don't have them in front of me so I don't know the name of them. The title Easter is from a RAK, but I also have this Best Occasion Jewel Punch Pack. I attached them down after running them through my Xyron 1.5' Create-A-Sticker maker. I tore the capital E when I added it to my page, so I added a jewel enamel dot from The Stamps of Life. I typed the journaling on my computer in Lucinda Calligraphy font- me in my Easter dress 4-17-22. I bought my dress from Belk on sale half off. The photo mat and journaling mat is also from Close To My Heart Blossom collection. This is the first layout I have made following a sketch in awhile so I was nervous about it, but it turned out good.

TFL and have a good week!

Mom & Me

I made this layout following the sketch above from Soul Scrappers Challenges on Facebook. The paper is from Hobby Lobby The Paper Studio Watercolor Stripe. The date tag is from Colorbok Homemade Paper Plus 12 x 12 paper pad. The picture was taken 12-27-21 at my sister's house. The photo mat is from Colorbok Bright 8.5 x 11 Smooth Cardstock pad that I cut down to a little bigger than 4 x 4- the size of the picture. The title sticker- Mom & Me is also from Hobby Lobby The Paper Studio La Petites Dimensional Stickers, they're all stickers about Mom. The journaling mat is from Pink Paislee Cottage Farms 6 x 6 paper pack that I trimmed down to fit under the title.  I typed the journaling on my computer- Mama and  I received the same shirt for Christmas and just happened to wear it the same day. We had to have a picture taken! We went to my sister's house for the day. I haven't scrapped in awhile and wanted to keep this page simple. TFL and have a great weekend!

So Happy We Are Friends

I made this card following the sketch above. Bobbie Sue and Friends of Unity are hopping this weekend and using this sketch. #friendsofunitybloghop I used Unity Stamp Company Being Yourself stamp kit and stamped the image and 2 sentiments with Gina K Designs Amalgam ink. I used paper from The Stamps of Life as the card base and paper I stamped on. The patterned paper is from The Paper Studio Country Road 4.5 x 6.5" pad and the hot pink scraps behind the sentiments are from Colorbok Bright 8.5 x 11" Smooth Cardstock Pad. The sequins are also from The Stamps of Life. I used my Xyron 150 Create A Sticker to attach the sentiments, Tombow Aqua Mono Liquid Glue to attach the sequins, and Teresa Collins Xyron Mega Runner to attach the patterned paper and the stamped image. I plan on mailing this card to a friend for Valentine's day. Feel free to trying the sketch out for yourself, but tag Bobbie Sue's blog and use #friendsodunitybloghop in your post like I did. Have a great day! TFL!

Christmas 2021

I made this layout yesterday afternoon. I used Echo Park Paper Company A Gingerbread Christmas Collection Poinsettia paper for the background patterned paper and the title sticker- Merry Christmas is from the same collection. The tag that I wrote Christmas 2021 on is from Carta Bella Christmas Element Sticker sheet. The green paper mat for the journaling is from the Echo Park Paper Co A Gingerbread Christmas 6x6 Paper Pad that I trimmed down for the journaling. I typed the journaling on my computer- I wake up every Christmas before everyone else gets up to watch A Christmas Story. It was warm enough this year for me to wear the t-shirt to prove it! No one else likes the movie is why I get up early to watch and I got a nap before dinner.

Sisters

I made this layout last night. The main background patterned paper is from Craft Smart Fabulousness  12x12 in paper pad, the banner is strips of paper from The Stamps of Life Smiles Collection 6x6 in paper pad that I ran through my Xyron 1.5 Create-A-Sticker maker to adhere it to the layout, I typed the title- SISTERS- on my computer-  I forgot which font I used. The photo mat is from Colorbok 8.5 x 11 Bright Smooth Cardstock pad that I trimmed down to a little bigger than the picture. I used a die from my stash for the journaling tag and the paper is also from The Stamps of Life as are the green enamel dots. I wrote on the tag that the picture is of Emily & I (my sister) 12-27-21. The besties tag is from Recollections Funky Fresh. We have always been best friends.  We don't get our picture taken together enough. I haven't scrapped in awhile and didn't want to add too much to this layout because of the picture and the background paper. Stay tuned for more layouts! 🙂

2021 in Review

I made more cards this year. I may have done one scrapbook layout, but I can't find a picture of it. The snowman card was a kit that was sent to me and I put it together how I wanted it. The first 2 pictures was an online Stampin' Up class that I put my own spin on.

Happy New Year and here's to a great 2022!

Congratulations Winners
