Fun in the Sun

Rainbow Hop

A Rainbow, is a wonder of nature...
with many meanings in many different cultures. They inspire us and we wanted to share some of that inspiration with our fellow crafters and anyone else who chances to look through the raindrops.

Welcome to the Rainbow Blog Hop...
You should have arrived here from (Rhonda) Blog.... or head on over to
Miriam's Crafting Blog where all the fun starts!!!
There is a pot of gold at the end of this rainbow!
There are ...two sets of rainbow blog candy for today's hop.
~~**The first requirement is to comment on each post along the hop**~~
Pinque Peacock is giving away a set of rainbow colored fabric covered buttons, pop on over to the PINQUE PEACOCK SHOP  and give them a like, then head over to the PINQUE PEACOCK BLOG and follow them... check out the 300 Follower Giveaway while your there too!
Check out what I have chosen to share with you!
I used Marcella by K paper pad as the main PP and the photo mats. I used my EK Success 12x12 mat to measure the square for the photo mats and then drew a circle with my Fiskars Circle Cutter for the middle picture mat. I don't have my pictures developed yet, but have them ordered with Snapfish. I recently went to the beach with some friends & can't wait to add them and see it finished! Now for the embellishments! For the date: 7-09-13 in I used Snap ITC font on Microsoft Office 2010 and Echo Park Fun Times Ahead ticket. The title, the sun in the sun stamp, and playing in the waves is Recollections Dimensional Stickers. The "Girl friend" sunglasses & "besties" stickers are Sticko Best Friends. The flip flops & pizza stamp (the pizza stamp was actually a watermelon stamp and I just colored it to make it look like pizza :)) are from a collection I bought either at Walmart or Target. The sun stamp that I colored before adding the sun sticker is a stamp that I bought a collection of as well from either Walmart or Target. I don't remember where I bought it honestly! The "sunscreen" vellum in the bottom left corner is My Mind's Eye Tiny Tales Vellum Beach. The "Sun" and "Beach " medallions are K&Company Tim Coffey Grand Adhesions Autocollants Dimensional Stickers that I bought at Michaels. The "A Day to Remember" sticker is K&Company Embossed Stickers that I bought from Target. The journaling states that "Doug, Laura, Duchess, & I went to Atlantic Beach fot the afternoon. We had Little Caesar's pizza in the car on the way! Laura, Duchess, & I had fun in the water w/ boogie boards and a small rubber raft/boat! Doug blew up the boat for us." Doug and Laura are moving sometime around the end of this month to NY to train race horses. I'm going to miss them so much and am treasuring these last few weeks with them as much as I can!  I also wanted to include a close-up pic of the sentiment from DCWV Quote Stack and I used Elmer's Washable Glue Stick to adhere the adhesive because I don't have the proper adhesive to add vellum and want to get some one day. I don't use vellum quotes that much for that purpose! I glued the sentiment on to a PP piece of Moulin Rouge Collection 6x6 paper stack and then traced over the word "celebrate" on the sentiment with my Gelly Roll Clear Star pen.

I will be adding the pictures whenever I receive them in the mail this week and will repost this layout completed so please become a follower and come back later this week to see my finished product!

The second set of blog candy is a set of sunflower pearls, from Miriam's Crafting Supplies, one in each of the 6 colors of the rainbow!
