Graduation 2012

I made these cards for Laurel & Haylee. The first card is from Laurel. I was inspired by their school colors and decided to use them in both cards. Laurel is graduating from New Bern High on Saturday, my Alma Mater. NBHS' colors are red & black, so I used Recollections Adhesive Rhinestones that are red & black. The paper is Mambi Graduate Collection as are the stickers on both cards. The ribbon is Recollections "2012" with stars. The second card is for Haylee and she is graduating from Pamlico County High tomorrow night or later tonight. PCHS' colors are black & gold so I chose Recollections Adhesive Rhinestones again in black & gold! The red/black rhinestones are actually on a longer string and I cut one string in half. I added more stickers on the inside and put a slip of paper with red in Laurel's and gold/yellow in Haylee's for me to write a note on. I wrote a book in each! Laurel grew up in my church youth group and Haylee is my stepsister who I have watched grow from 1st grade until now- the end of her senior year. They are both going onto the same college- UNCW. Haylee is going into Nursing & Laurel into Day Care, but I'm not sure about that. Laurel is good with kids so she could major in that! I will be attending Haylee's, but not Laurel's. We have a family get together on Saturday at my grandmama's house. I've actually prepared a fish craft for the little kids to do after lunch and will have a pic to share later!  I have some scrapbook LOs to share, but will post them later. Graduation is on my mind right now, so I thought I'd share these! Enjoy and have a great weekend! :)

Your graduation cards are so colorful and cheerful - a treasured way to mark the special occasion for each recipient. I love that you did them in the school colors and embellished each with colored gemstones! NJ!
