Remember When
I made this LO for Scrappin-n-Chattin's Silly Picture LO. The journaling states under the top picture that "Emily & I made sugar cookies with green food coloring for Christmas 2010." Emily was about to wash her hands in the top pic and then in the second pic "Scott is about to roll Emily's sleeves down." I decided not to add a whole lot to the LO since the paper has enough going on already. The sticker to the left of the pics says "Sissy" since both pics are of my sister Emily. I titled it "remember When" since it is a memory we will always share. There's not anything else to say about the LO. Look for another LO later!

Washington, DC
I made this LO for Scrappin-n-Chattin's Torn Paper Challenge. I torn the edges of the red/gray background paper. I attended March For Life January 22, 2002 when I was a student at Mid-Atlantic Christian University (Roanoke Bible College). I took my camera along and took pics like a typical tourist! I have hidden the journaling under the diagonal paper on the right in the middle. I'm not sure what the building in the middle is. If anyone knows and comments that would be great! I don't have a prize, but looked online and couldn't find it anywhere! I believe the top picture is the Paul Revere Memorial, but I may be wrong. The bottom picture is of the US Capitol in the background. I chose the "dare to be different" tag since I attended the walk to stand against abortion. The journaling states basically what I have already said about the walk and what I know about the pictures. I have one more pic that I took that day so I may do another LO of just that pic soon. TFL and have a good weekend!

Bear Town Bears & My New Glasses
I made this LO for Scrappin-n-Chattin's Home Town Challenge. We had to include something our home town is known for on our LO. The journaling states that "these are 3 of the 50 bears that Bern Town Bears has placed around New Bern. The bear is New Bern's symbol. Paw prints like the ones on this paper is how they are spotted around town." The bears are from top to bottom: Diverse Flag Bearer, Bearon de Graffenried, and River Ben. Baron de Graffenried is the founder of Historic New Bern & that's who the middle bear is named after.
I finally got my glasses yesterday, July 12! I have posted this pic on Facebook, but am not sure if all my followers are on there. I had to go in there to get them. They couldn't find them at first. They were in a different spot and hadn't been processed yet. I'm just glad I have them and can see again!

Balloon LO
I made this LO (layout) for Scrappin-n-Chattin's Balloon Challenge. The challenge was to include either balloons in your pic or balloons as an embellishment. I did both! The pictures are pretty much self-explanatory. They are all pictures of Tyler's 1st birthday party. He's in the bottom right corner playing with some toys.
I've been going without my glasses for almost 2 weeks now and wanted to scrap. I lost a screw in my glasses June 26 and have gone without them since. I went to the eye doctor June 29. I hope they call me tomorrow to let me know my glasses are in! They told me that they would take 7-10 business days. I didn't realize how much I rely on my glasses until now! I'm nearsighted so even the screen is blurry to me unless I sit almost on top of it. TFL!

55
I made this LO for Scrappin-n-Chattin's 4 Legs LO. 55 is my cat, well the family cat. I'm not really an animal lover. As the journaling states, "55 was found on Hwy 55 as a kitten. That's where his name comes from!" In the bottom pic, he is in a gift bag. He loves getting in gift bags at Christmas or birthdays! I didn't add a whole lot to this LO since the paper has enough color already! It's Colorbok that I bought from Target, 8 pattterned sheets for $0.99!! A good deal I thought! I will be using the other 7 soon enough! This is the prettiest one I thought and I had to use it! It's busy and 55 is busy at times! He does sleep a lot, but when he gets wild watch out! I have to work the rest of the week so I won't be scrappin' untiil next week! Have a good weekend and a good day with your dads/husbands!

Family Fun
I did this LO for Scrappin-n-Chattin's Buttons LO. See the buttons in each of the 4 corners? These pictures were taken Mother's Day weekend 2010 at my Uncle Roy's house. We had a cookout to celebrate my grandmother being home from the hospital after her colon surgery and recovery. The pictures (clockwise) are of Tyler in a hammock chair, the Rhodes Great-grandchildren with names of each child, Tyler and his second cousins playing in the dirt, and the Rhodes Grandchildren and their spouses with everyone's names. I decided to keep this LO simple since it took me so long to put it together! I hate how long it takes me sometimes! I included buttons in the corners, because the challenge was to include 4 buttons in the LO. They add a little decoration to the LO! I'm off again tomorrow and plan on scrappin' again, so look for another blog post! :)

Winter Chill
I made this LO for Scrappin-n-Chattin's Seasons Challenge for this month. We were to include one of the seasons (winter, spring, summer, fall/autumn) in the title. These pictures were taken in December 2009, I believe. My mom and Emily were making a snowman. I did help some, I just decided to take pictures after awhile! My stepdad is a Washington Redskins fan so we decided to use his Washington Redskins jersey and toboggan! In the picture on the right you can see him looking out the window at us. TFL and have a good week! :)
