Happy Birthday!

I made this card for my Granddaddy late last night. His 91st birthday is this Saturday. He has dementia & a broken hip and lives in a nursing home. He doesn't remember any of us, his family, but I wanted to send this card to show I still love and care about him. The card base is Studio G, a new find at Michaels, the front is actually the new hexagon design, but I covered it. I'll be making more without covering it! ;) The green paper is from Pebbles Lakeside 6x6 paper pad- I trimmed it down to fit the card- found at TJ Maxx (I love finding scrapbook supplies at work), the watermelon/apples patterned paper is Recollections. The happy birthday vellum is from my stash. I didn't want to add anything else to the front since the paper is busy enough.
This is the inside left side of the card that I covered with a Recollections Kraft paper that I trimmed down to fit the card. The hexagon design actually shows on the inside as well. I have an idea floating in my head on a future card! :) The heart is from an Itty Bitty that I won from Unity Stamp Company as part of a 25 bag assortment! The celebrate square is from Simple Stories Oh Happy Day 6x6 pad. I used Versafine Onyx Black Pigment Ink to stamp the heart. I'm surprised how long this ink pad has lasted- a little over 2 years!! I highly recommend it! You must stamp it on a flat surface to get a good quality stamp- in other words take your project off your craft mat- I have learned that!!
TFL! Have a great week! :)

Graphic 45 By The Sea Paper Bag Album on YouTube

Please check out my recent swap creation: Graphic 45 Paper Bag Album and be sure to subscribe, like & comment!! It was too many pics to post here. Sorry, no details on this one. Well, I can tell you I found the bags at Michaels- Celebrate lunch bags, Graphic45 By The Sea 12x12 paper pad at Hobby Lobby, the sparkly squares are also from Hobby Lobby (found in clearance), 2 WRMK journal cards found at Walmart. I ran out of adhesive at least 5 times! LOL! I'm gonna invest in an ATG or at least the mini one! I'm about to post a card I made last night. TFL!

Here's what I have to share with you today. My birthday is the first birthday of the summer among 3 other siblings. Our birthdays are all within 1 to 2 1/2 weeks apart! I'm sharing part of my birthday with you all! I didn't have 2 of the same birthday papers so I used the same elements on both pages. The first page is Simple Stories Happy Day Designer 12 x 12 Cardstock Birthday Memories (it's discontinued in most places- since it was made in 2011- but you might can still find it). The title- "let's party" is from Simple Stories Happy Day Signature Elements 2 x 12 Border & 4 x 12 Title Strip Elements (a 12 x 12 double sided cardstock paper) & I fussy cut it with my scallop edged designer scissors. The gift sticker is from Group God's Good Gifts Scripture Scrapbooks. All the photo mats except the mat under the necklace pic is from Simple Stories SN@P! Color Fusion 6 x 6 in paper pad. The photo mat under the necklace is from Monte Paper Mill Take 2 Designer Picture Frames. The party girl stamp is a part of Julie Nutting Party Girl Cling Stamp Collection that I bought at Hobby Lobby on my birthday and I used VersaFine Onyx Black Pigment Ink to stamp it with.  The party hat & balloon embellishment was actually part of the "let's party" banner and I used Recollections Foam Adhesive Squares to give it some dimension. The journaling square is part of the paper and I wrote using a Sharpie Ultra Fine Purple Pastel Permanent Marker: June 27, 2015 My 39th Birthday The necklace above was made by Brian & Emily. Emily, Brian, & I went to Hobby Lobby, ate at Chinese Inn, went to the beach for about 5 minutes (& snapped a few pictures) since it was raining, shopped at Walmart, rented Black or White DVD from Red box (great movie by the way), and then celebrated with my family- McDonald's meal box & cake/ice cream. The American Lighthouses 1000 piece puzzle was a gift from my mom & stepdad.

 Now for page 2:
The paper is Simple Stories Happy Day Let's Party 12 x 12 Designer Cardstock. The make a wish chipbpard sticker is Studio G. The mat under the bear is from Simple Stories Happy Day Signature Elements 4 x 4 Quote & 6 x 8 Photo Mat Elements ( to blend with the first page). The bear is from our sponsor Paper Crafting World-  Bear with Cake Girl Digital Stamp & I colored it with Recollections Masterpiece II Markers, American Crafts Chromatix Grape Alcohol Blending Acid Free Markers,& a White Gelly Roll pen to separate all the colors. The bling in her bow is from Recollections Rhinestone Collections- I also added one on the first page and one below the journaling block. I used the same Sharpie as before on the journaling block- also from SN@P- I bought this tank top from TJ Maxx- work- to wear on my birthday with money from my Grandmama & Mr Raffael Farrow. The 39 stickers are from Simple Stories Happy Day Expressions Cardstock Stickers. This is the good stuff square is also from SN@P that I cut out & used Recollections Adhesive Foam Squares again to give dimension. I wrote around it using the Sharpie that the cake was Duncan Hines Golden Butter Recipe with Hershey's Chocolate Icing. I didn't write what type of ice cream we had, but we had Blue Bunny Birthday Cake Mini Cones. My mom didn't have 39 candles so she put 3 candles and then 9 to make 39. Below is a picture of both pages together.
