It's Beginning to Look A lot Like Christmas

I made this card for Make Something Monday with Two Chicks Designs (https://www.facebook.com/TwoChicksDesigns). All the paper is Recollections Bright Christmas Printed Cardstock, the Christmas tree stamp is from Hampton Art the set I used to make the cards below, Trendy Twine Candy Cane, and the "Merry Christmas" sticker and the star sticker on the tree is from Darice Silent Night sticker book that I bought from Michael's around Christmas last year.
I made 2 of these cards last year and didn't want to finish making the rest so I saved them for this year! Now all I have to do is write in them when it's closer to Christmas! I decided to mask 2 of them with "Jesus is the Reason for the Season"- a stamp that I bought from Michaels and "Peace Joy & A Very Merry Christmas" just to see what they would look like.I tried to make each card different. The little bling/lights came with the set and became too tedious and lost their stickiness so I decided not to use them in the last 4. The bling I did use on the bottom far right card is from my stash except the star. I may make a few more like the first one, but with another Christmas 12x12 pad I have that has more variations of paper. I ran out of photo squares so I won't be able to make any cards for awhile unless I use my Recollections foam squares. The candy cane sticker on the far right card is from Momenta sticker pack. The ribbon used on the top middle card "tis the season to be jolly" is Bobbin Ribbon.
I had fun making these and can't wait to make a few more closer to Christmas! TFL and have a great week!

Lucky Me

I made this LO following the sketch above from Scrapping Everyday Miracles (http://scrappingeverydaymiracles.blogspot.com.2013/08/august-sketch-challenge.html). The twist was to use a butterfly on our layout, so I used A LOT of butterflies! The paper is SEI Chocolat Cherie. I've been hoarding this sheet and been waiting to use it until the right time! ;) I bought it from Michaels on clearance for $0.79. The price tag was stuck in a corner of the sheet, but I was able to pull it up. There's still a little stickiness from the price tag, but it's not that noticeable. The middle paper is K&Company Urban Rhapsody. I had to have some masculine feel to this page and this strip fit that part! The ribbon is American Crafts Premium Ribbon Spring Pink, yes more butterflies! The tag is from K&Company Cut N Paste Tag Pad, I thought it fit so well with this page! The ribbon on the tag is from Heather Lynn. The butterfly sticker is K&Company that came with a mini album set that I originally was going to put this picture in, but I don't have anymore pictures of the Clydesdales. The photo mat is from Basic Grey Curio 6x6 paper pad. The title "Lucky Me" is from a DCWV pad that I bought from TJMaxx. I thought it fit with this page since I was so lucky to see the Budweiser Clydesdales in person and not on TV!
I realized after I took the pic that you couldn't really read the journaling so I decided to take a close up of the tag! I know my handwriting isn't very neat, but I did the best I could! You can see why I'd rather type out my journaling! TFL and have a great weekend!

Congrats Grad

I made this layout for Tyler's preschool graduation following sketch 357 above from Scrapbook Challenges (http://scrapbookchallenges.com).  I received the red cardstock from Heartstring Designs from a blog hop prize I recently won. The rainbow stars and apple pic mats are both Recollections from Michaels, the 3 grad hats/confetti are from Tyler's graduation party as is the napkin/title "Congrats Grad" (I used Recollections Foam Squares to make the confetti stand out), the journaling block I found from Pinterest from http://misstina.com, and the brad holding the program on is We R Memory Keepers Friends Furever Fabric Brads.
I decided to include a close-up pic of the journaling block. It states that "I gave Tyler a $15 gift card to McDonald's for graduating from Preschool!" I will add the pictures later to show him smiling with the gift card. He loves to eat at McDonald's and get their toys in the happy meals!
This is a close-up of the program. I couldn't attend his graduation, but my sister saved me the program, confetti, and napkin! I hope to add the pictures soon! TFL and have a great day! :)

Thank You

I made this card following the sketch above from http://mojomonday.blogspot.com/. I used a Pinque Peacock large floral bundle. I attached it with Recollections Foam Squares to give it a little dimension. The chevron/floral paper are both the same double sided sheet- Basic Grey Oliver Collection. I like both designs so much that I used a scrap to make the bottom layer! The circle PP is Basic Grey Pyrus 6x6 paper pad. I added the bling from my stash and the twine was a RAK from Heather. Oh, the Thank You stamp is Skipping Stones Design Peeps. I stamped it with Versafine black onyx ink, but it was too light so I went over it with my 100 black Copic and Gelly Roll Clear Star pen.

Finished Product of Fun in the Sun

Here it is!! I'm so excited to have it finished! My pictures finally came in the mail today from Snapfish. It looks like I may using them from now on since my pictures aren't blurry. I'll just have to have patience and wait a few days instead of instantly like I'm used to. I know the pictures don't fit the design I had down for the pic mats, but I didn't want to butcher them any more than I did! Laura's head (top right of pics) is on the boat we played on, so I did get that in the layout a little after all! TFL and have a great day! :)

Smile!

I made these 2 pages last week and have had issues with Blogger trying to post them and had the Rainbow blog hop on my mind, so I put these on the back burner. I used Marcella by K paper pad for both the background paper and the pic mats, American Crafts Premium Ribbon, "smile" & "doodle" (both titles) are Momenta Sticker Pack, the bling on both pages in the corner is Sticko Rainbow Dots, and the flowers are American Crafts Delights Invitation Paper Flowers. The pics were taken in June 2012 at my grandmama's get-together.  The journaling states that "Thomas took all of these pictures. He was just 5 at the time. He saw I had a camera & had a ball taking pictures of Kylee. She's a foster child of my step-grandfather's granddaughter. (the pic in the bottom on the 2nd pg is) my fish. Thomas, Kylee, and Kylee (in the purple shirt) decided to just use markers on theirs."

Both pages together. I finished up the floral ribbon on this 2 page layout and also ran out of adhesive on this layout. That's what I get for staying up until 3am to finish this! I originally was gonna use a sketch with Two Chicks Designs virtual crop last Monday night, but just decided to go with my own layout. I've got Recollections Foam Squares and plenty of photo adhesive squares until I can get some more adhesive. TFL!

Fun in the Sun

Rainbow Hop

A Rainbow, is a wonder of nature...
with many meanings in many different cultures. They inspire us and we wanted to share some of that inspiration with our fellow crafters and anyone else who chances to look through the raindrops.

Welcome to the Rainbow Blog Hop...
You should have arrived here from (Rhonda) Blog.... or head on over to
Miriam's Crafting Blog where all the fun starts!!!
There is a pot of gold at the end of this rainbow!
There are ...two sets of rainbow blog candy for today's hop.
~~**The first requirement is to comment on each post along the hop**~~
Pinque Peacock is giving away a set of rainbow colored fabric covered buttons, pop on over to the PINQUE PEACOCK SHOP  and give them a like, then head over to the PINQUE PEACOCK BLOG and follow them... check out the 300 Follower Giveaway while your there too!
Check out what I have chosen to share with you!
I used Marcella by K paper pad as the main PP and the photo mats. I used my EK Success 12x12 mat to measure the square for the photo mats and then drew a circle with my Fiskars Circle Cutter for the middle picture mat. I don't have my pictures developed yet, but have them ordered with Snapfish. I recently went to the beach with some friends & can't wait to add them and see it finished! Now for the embellishments! For the date: 7-09-13 in I used Snap ITC font on Microsoft Office 2010 and Echo Park Fun Times Ahead ticket. The title, the sun in the sun stamp, and playing in the waves is Recollections Dimensional Stickers. The "Girl friend" sunglasses & "besties" stickers are Sticko Best Friends. The flip flops & pizza stamp (the pizza stamp was actually a watermelon stamp and I just colored it to make it look like pizza :)) are from a collection I bought either at Walmart or Target. The sun stamp that I colored before adding the sun sticker is a stamp that I bought a collection of as well from either Walmart or Target. I don't remember where I bought it honestly! The "sunscreen" vellum in the bottom left corner is My Mind's Eye Tiny Tales Vellum Beach. The "Sun" and "Beach " medallions are K&Company Tim Coffey Grand Adhesions Autocollants Dimensional Stickers that I bought at Michaels. The "A Day to Remember" sticker is K&Company Embossed Stickers that I bought from Target. The journaling states that "Doug, Laura, Duchess, & I went to Atlantic Beach fot the afternoon. We had Little Caesar's pizza in the car on the way! Laura, Duchess, & I had fun in the water w/ boogie boards and a small rubber raft/boat! Doug blew up the boat for us." Doug and Laura are moving sometime around the end of this month to NY to train race horses. I'm going to miss them so much and am treasuring these last few weeks with them as much as I can!  I also wanted to include a close-up pic of the sentiment from DCWV Quote Stack and I used Elmer's Washable Glue Stick to adhere the adhesive because I don't have the proper adhesive to add vellum and want to get some one day. I don't use vellum quotes that much for that purpose! I glued the sentiment on to a PP piece of Moulin Rouge Collection 6x6 paper stack and then traced over the word "celebrate" on the sentiment with my Gelly Roll Clear Star pen.

I will be adding the pictures whenever I receive them in the mail this week and will repost this layout completed so please become a follower and come back later this week to see my finished product!

The second set of blog candy is a set of sunflower pearls, from Miriam's Crafting Supplies, one in each of the 6 colors of the rainbow! Horses

I made this LO for DCWV July Stack-a-holic Challenge using the sketch below. The requirement was to use any stack from DCWV. I used All About Boys Stack- the main PP and the picture mats. The stickers are Recollections Photographic stickers and the ribbon is JoAnn Craft Essentials. The journaling states that the pictures were taken at "Equine Country April 2012. Laura is riding Pirate in his first horse show (in the top picture) Caroline is riding Handsome Ransom (the bottom picture) Her trainer, Sarah, is looking on behind them along with other spectators." I chose this paper, because of Laura's horse's name- Pirate.

Laugh, Love, Stamp

I made this card for Fresh Brewed Designs (http://freshbreweddesigns.blogspot.com) 24 Hr Caffeine Challenge. Our challenge was to make a card using the theme Strawberry Lemonade and a FBD stamp. I just recently won the Crafty Girl stamp set so I decided to use it on my card! I decided to split the sentiment up once I stamped it. I used DCWV Card Stack Greens as the cardbase and added Recollections Cupcake Cuties and Marcella K PP. I've ran out of my Xyron Create A Sticker adhesive so I decided to use Recollections Foam Adhesive Squares to make the sentiment pop out. Then I added KI Memories Paisley Parade Epxy Fastener and twine to finish up the card!
I added this journal block- Story Teller's Collection What a Pear and will right on it later. I have a few crafty friends in mind that I could give this card, too. I had fun coloring the stamp as well. I just wish I would have seen the challenge sooner, I waited until 11pm to start and had problems with Blogger posting at 2am, but I finally figured it out after some rest!  Please come back August 5th for the Rainbow Blog Hop I will be participating in! I'm excited about it! TFL & have a great day! :)

A Day At the Beach

I made this card for a swap yesterday and am just getting around to blogging about it. I'm entering this card in  The Sisterhood of Craf...
